No surprise he's going off in his contract year. Great runner, but you don't pay big money to backs, especially ones with Murray's injury history.

I think you have to pay him, I understand why some don't, I get it. But I also don't believe you can throw a dart at a board of running backs on draft day and draft him in the 4th round and think he'll be great.

I was okay to letting him walk but looking at how the Titans stopped Charles and how Murray dominated them......and how he dominated the 9ers line.....i'm okay with overpaying him. There were two guys on this team I was okay with overpaying on this team. Dez and Tyron. You have to add Murray to that as well now.

I've been on record as saying I'd consider giving him a 3-4 yr incentive based type of deal, anything more than that and we are taking a major gamble...

This dude is a top 5 back in the NFL. Pay him his paltry millions because today showed that if you want to get wrecked, make Demarco mad.

Top 5 back? Last I checked Jamaal Charles, AP, LeSean McCoy, Beast Mode, and Forte are still in the NFL. With that said, Murray is still a very good RB (top 10). I'm not sold on signing Murray to an extension, especially when you got guys like Giovani Bernard, Eddy Lacy, Alfred Morris, and Le'Veon Bell readily available in the draft. Why waste 10 million a year on a RB when you can find a solid one in the draft for a lot cheaper? Murray's good, but he's not worth the hole he'd create elsewhere due to his salary cap hit.

Hes certainly an upper tier runner. But at the end of the day I'd rather let him walk and take advantage of how easy it is to get RB's in the draft these days and keep putting resources into the O-line.

D-line, thanks. But other than that, I agree.

Let's see if he can stay healthy this season first and hang on to the ball. Dez still has to be signed and Murray has to show he can stay on the field and not put the ball on the ground every week. Murray could warrant a pretty lucrative contract if he continues this pace so his health and ball security will be a major factor in extending him.

Dude, two games, can we see if he can play a 16 game season first and not 8, and Dude, two games, two fumbles.....not exactly what you want to see from your lead back...
