DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) — Before the season opener, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones projected that Pro Bowl defensive end Anthony Spencer could be ready by week 2. That didn’t happen.

So now that Spencer has missed the first two weeks of the season, is it reasonable to expect him in the next two weeks?

Sure, that's it - let Murray go after this year...

After all, it's so easy to find league leading running backs. They're everywhere. Simple. Just look at how we've done since Emmitt left us. See, guys like Murray are just a dime a doz... uh... oh...

OK, I'll try this...

We've finally addressed our O Line and, boy, that should do it. Been sayin' for years we need to invest in the trenches. After all, league leading running backs are just a dime a dozen. I mean, just look at our number 2 back, Dunbar. After all he lead the entire NCAA in Division 2 running... uh... oh...

So, maybe Murray is an important part of the Cowboy's future after all?

lol

Let him test the open market and go from there.

Please don't
You guys gave no idea what he is worth and will grossly overpay him
Let him play out the year and test the underpaid RB market then decide if you want to match or not

Underpaid market? top RB are paid McCoy makes 9 mill a year Peterson of course make more than all the RB at 14 million a year, the position still hold value despite what some of you think. Talent gets paid that is the fact I don't care what position. Avg guys can be had at basement bargin price talent the thing that helps teams win the thing many of you claim we don't have cost money.

Dunbar is a completely different back... He's 5'8"/195lbs. Comparing apples and oranges.

Plus Dunbar was signed as UFA out of college.

Spend a 3rd draft pick on another RB and you'll probably find someone of similar talent to Murray.

The Jets signed Chris Johnson for 2 years at $4 mil per year.

Murray isn't worth more than that.

And I don't know if I would even offer him $3.5 mil per season.

Johnson is a problem player that is why they low balled him.

Why bother keeping talented player, we can low ball the whole damn team and have a reason to come here and whine about having no talent and how stupid Jones is. lol

Remember the ghost of Marion Barber III. Offer him 4/20mil. Not a penny more..

Last 2 years have been very different
RBs are not getting paid top bucks

While Dallas is at it lets low ball Dez as well say a 4 year deal for 25 mill. I'm sure he will go for that. Keep this up and we can get a whole team of Hayden's they are a dime a dozen, talent on the other hand cost.

What problems does he have? He has dealt with injuries but played 14 games last season and still put up top numbers.

14 games isn't 16 games.

I'm not a big Emmitt fan but he was out there virtually every game come heck or high water.

Tony D. was the same.

On top of that we've got 2 fumbles in the last 2 games.

if the price is right i would'nt mind extending him. but you really have to get the money right for rb's because they don't last long, they decline very fast and he has an history of injury. i would not give huge money to any rb. including AP, i actually would pay more for mccoy than AP because to me is is more of a weapon
