Evidently it doesn't if you think that any RB can come in and do it sorry your wrong. Great players get paid avg player get paid small wages and return small on the field.

That sounds more like a speech than a good reply Dooms.

Dominant WR's are much tougher to find.

No they are a dime a dozen, there are several top WR in this league and god knows the rules allow these guys to run pretty much with no contact. They are not that hard to find. Main thing having a QB to can deliver.

I agree on the QB thing.

Count up how many WR's were drafted in the first 3 rounds the last two years compared to the number of RB's.

The Jets signed Chris Johnson for 2 years at $4 mil per year.

Murray isn't worth more than that.

And I don't know if I would even offer him $3.5 mil per season.

I doubt Murray would be interested in a 2 year $4M offer. Just a guess but he will want $4M per year.

Oh I'm sure he's looking for as much as he can get for as long as he can get.

I wouldn't give him more than 3 (more) years myself. By that time he'll be near 30.

That's not really fair for a number of reasons. The number of WRs drafted probably exceeds QBs as well, does that make the QB position any less valuable or less scarce?

I think I would let Murray test the free agent market and see what other teams think. I think the other thing to keep in mind is that 800 pound gorilla in the room with a potentially bad back.

yes there are a lot more WR out there to choose from very good ones at that and harder to find quality RB's guys who can run, block and catch.

He's not worth more than that? Are you serious?

I can't believe he typed that.

There are running backs out there that are still getting paid: Charles, Forte, McCoy. Demarco is in that category.

If you're going to let top talent walk out the door, you better have top talent waiting to replace him!

Very true. I think Murray's excellent blocking is being overlooked by a few as well.
