Did you realize we didn't miss Bruce Carter or Sean Lee?

Bruce Carter or Lee at LB? That's 2/3 of our projected season starters. I thought we really needed Carter against Lynch too.

If you have told me that at beginning of the season I tell you Seattle puts 30+ on us and wins by at least 2 TD's. Thank goodness I am wrong!

I forget...how long is Carter out? Also, and this might be a bad subject for some, but Brent might come back and D-law is coming back to help out for the back side of the season.

Really though, if you watched the Seahawks playing at the Commanders, the Commanders just looked bigger than the Seahawks. And, yesterday, the Cowboys really looked bigger and stronger than them on both sides of the ball.

Will it be possible to have Lee and McLain on the field together next year? I've read where Lee would move to Will possibly.

Yep - D Law starts practice Wednesday!

We missed Carter, but got lucky in that Fitzpatrick isn't very good and Wilson isn't very good when you keep him in the pocket. A disciplined defense can outperform a talented defense.

I think those QBs looked awful against us because we played good coverage downfield. Once we get Carter back we will be even better at pass defense. He's our best cover linebacker on the team.

We're basically getting by mixing Wilbur and Hitchens in to cover for Carter. Wilbur is usually in the right spot but often fails to make either the tackle or play on the ball. However he does deserve credit for running 40 yds downfield and breaking up a huge play. Point is we need Carter back because he was playing really well and is able to complete the plays where Wilbur simply does not.

Carter takes the INT Wilber almost had to the house.

I agree. Our secondary has been lights out. Scandrick is a Pro Bowler, Carr is playing like his old self, Moore is so underrated, Church is Church, and Wilcox is improving every week. If you watched the Seattle game, nobody was getting open. The coverage was so good that the LBers could watch Wilson and make sure he couldn't run. If the coverage was weak, the LBers would have had to help out, and Wilson would have ran all over us. Not to mention, the D-line was getting in Wilson's face.

Wilbur also had one of the plays of the game breaking up that long pass. I hope people don't think it's automatic that Carter makes that play either. Carter still has a lot to prove, and frankly I'm shocked that people want him over Durant.

I missed Carter every time I saw Wilber on the field.

It was less intense because Durant and Ro have been really good and they were able to mix in Hitchens and Wilber to keep guys fresh.
