Wasted Opportunity

What was so bad about Weeden's performance is we saw Colt McCoy, a journeyman back-up, lead the Commanders to victory against us. Our number 1 draft pick, back up QB, performed at the top of the trash in the NFLs list of trash performances.

Two weeks in a row...

Don't forget about what Mr. Buttfumble did today for the Eagles. In just about any performance there is bound to be some positives and negatives... I didn't see any of the former today.

P.S. how many posts need I have before I can create a thread of my own.

Whoever Juicy is, he/she knows what he/she is talking about...

I remember that, and I'm quite surprised you have it readily available. lol.

I'm having issues posting new threads right now. It's not you, it's something with the forum right now..

Okay cool... I am liking this forum a lot more than the official one right now... just got banned from there for a week for calling a guy a troll (after he made an obvious troll comment). Seems to be far fewer trolls here.

I thought the pick-up it was awful. Then last week got my hopes up. Now, I fully understand that if Romo goes down, we got know shot. Considering this offense also needs a little creativity ala Romo to keep plays alive with our vertical passing, we will be looking at a monumental collapse.

Weeden is Babe Laufenburg re-incarnated...

This is the best Cowboys forum by far, and one of the great forums in general.

We need to get a QB midrounds next year. This wasn't the year to do that because every QB worthy of a midround pick was drafted in the first... but next year should have some decent QBs last until the 3rd that can step in as capable backups for cheap.

Romo at 50% is better than weedens scrub ***.

I think romo will be out there

If you have to roll out of bed to get out and you can't stand up much less throw a football then you're just going to have to be disappointed. He'll play IF he can function which is the same as it was for this game.

Those bones have muscles attached to them as well as connective tissue so they do play a role in function and mobility. He has to be able to throw the ball and move around.

The problem there is, I can see it getting on the minds of some other Cowboys fans having to deal with 50 threads after the game every time we lose saying how much we suck... it gets really old.

What do you foresee happening?

Jax is not going to be a cake walk either. This is a must win coming up for us - our schedule after the bye is brutal.

this team is DONE

Not yet but if they lose next week to JAX they will be. The losses are mounting and so are the injuries. Can't see the Cowboys rebounding from 3 straight losses including a loss to a one win JAX team that's possibly the worst team in the league. Even an ugly win over JAX could set the Cowboys up for a rough final 6 games and Dec hasn't exactly been a very kind month to the Cowboys.

If the Cowboys are going to come out of this tailspin they need an IMPRESSIVE win over JAX next week and they need to come back from the bye looking sharp or what looked like a possible 12-4 season a couple of weeks ago at 6-1 could end up being another 8-8 season. I wouldn't think the Cowboys would collapse to that extent but a loss to JAX next week brings a mega collapse into play.

There is no way for me to know. My best guess would be he plays Jax if they have to have him. That might be starting or it could even be out of the bullpen.

If they can they will rest him unless he can start moving around really well by mid week.

It should practically be a home game, and I think the schedule after the bye actually works out quite well for us.

@Giants. a team we have already beaten, with a week to rest and prepare
Eagles on Tony Romo's favorite day of the year (think he is 6-1 lifetime on Thanksgiving)
@Bears who look like they are crashing fast
@Eagles on an extra 3 days rest
Colts tough game but at least its home
@Commanders with us wanting some revenge

I can easily see us going at least 4-2 if not 5-1 in that stretch.

The Skins game was really the only wasted opportunity. Still had a chance to win that one. This one.... not so much.

The skins game was so winnable - especially in the preparation / game planning process. What a brain fart.
