Wasted Opportunity

So the sky isn't falling?

Nope. If romo plays today, we win that game. Weeden was absolutely abysmal. But he is the backup and against a good team it's expected

Get tony back for next week, let's put together a good win and head into the bye at 7-3 and then get healthy.

I'm just not a big Orton fan. He wasn't the difference between us winning and losing today. If he was such a good backup he wins the Philly game last year. Orton and Weeden are backups for a reason. Weeden had a bad day no doubt about it but I'm not about to start clamoring for wanting Orton or thinking things would be different with him. It wouldn't.

I'm past it, but I'd rather turn to Vaughn at this point. Weeden just doesn't have it. I don't know what to say. He lacks the touch in his throws.

There shouldn't be such a big dropoff from Romo to the backup. I long for the days of Kitna and, yes, Orton. I feel like Orton took Jerry's money and screwed us. I don't think he's great by any means, but he would've done better than Weeden today. I thought BW could drive the bus. Why did I think that?

Orton is really not any better. The guy can barely throw the ball 10 yards in the air most of the time and did you forget his season ending INT last year. It's amazing how people overrate former Cowboy players and some current Cowboy players.

He's a million times better than Weeden....

We can draft a better QB in round 7 than picking up Weeden... man, that dude was awful... with a week of practice.. Couldn't even see a wide. wide open Beasley right in front of him...

We wasted not getting an adequate backup in the offseason. It's one thing for the backup not to win, but to only have 89 yards passing when they have 8 in the box the whole game?? Good grief!

Worst QB performance in modern memory. Interesting that he could have made it onto the 53.

Already has 9 TDs on the season and a 3-1 record, with the Bills... As a back-up, he's a million times better...

Good for him. Like I said I'm not a fan. Never have been and he cost us missing the playoffs last year.

I'm not a fan either, especially not a fan of his salary. it's just ridiculous trying to argue Weeden is better. Weeden was just absolutely awful, with a week of practice. We could have don't better with a round 7 draft pick rookie today than with Weeden. He missed Beasley wide-open twice, in his line of sight, he totally was out-of-sync with his WRs, especially TWill on certain possessions. I mean just stupid football.

They were stacking the box...

What about some of Bledsoe's games... those were almost as bad. Other than those games... yea... can't think of much. Romo might taketh away, but Romo also giveth. Today Weeden just taketh awayed.

What was so bad about Weeden's performance is we saw Colt McCoy, a journeyman back-up, lead the Commanders to victory against us. Our number 1 draft pick, back up QB, performed at the top of the trash in the NFLs list of trash performances.

Two weeks in a row...

This is the plan. But Romo may not be able to play. If his back spasms up then you can't work around that with painkillers and shots.
