Cowboys return home at 5 am

Teams playing Thursday games should be playing at noon the previous Sunday.
Teams playing on the road on Thursday should have a home game the previous Sunday.
Teams playing at home on Thursday should have a road game the previous Sunday.
That is the fairest way to play Thursday games. Period

It really isn't that hard. You'd think the brainiacs in the NFL head office would have figured it out by now.

NFL agenda? lol I'm sorry but no one is out to get us. Hell Dallas is one of the top rating teams in the NFL they make money for the NFL. No one is out to get us. The scheduled worked out this way and the Cowboys will deal with it

Guess I should have added a..... /sarcasm at the end.....oh well, I have dealt with it by not concerning myself with it.
I'm just ready for Thursday.....

Thursday games are not good for the players as far as preparation, and recovery time. The NFL is speaking with forked tongue when they claim to be concerned about player safety, yet they have a full slate of Thanksgiving games.

Are the Cowboys at a disadvantage this week? Yes. So were the Broncos earlier this season when they played a Sunday night/Thursday nigh schedule (both were at home), as were the Saints (who played a Sunday night at home and a Thursday night on the road). Dems the breaks. Complaining about it doesn't change it.

Then again, the Cowboys have 10 days after the Bear game to prepare for the rematch against the Eagles. Consider the advantage to be with Dallas in that area.

and the Cowboys wanted Thanksgiving they have been doing it since 1966 and frankly have won a lot more times than they have lost on Thanksgiving. People are acting as if this event just started happening in recent years. lol Teams moaned and groaned about Dallas getting Thanksgiving they have tired to take it from us thankfully they have not. NFL did add Thursday game and all I say to them is welcome to our world and that of Det we do it every year

These should never be in the same sentence as it never will apply....:lmao:

Hopefully the offense comes out like they're just continuing that final drive vs the Giants. Maybe it will feel like they had a really looong TV timeout.

What is overlooked in all of the deserved praise given to the offensive line is the fact that Romo kept moving and adjusting his position while focusing down the field the whole time.

That last play is just amazing to me because if you relax your focus a little, it literally looks like the offensive line and Romo's movements are completely in sync.

I guess all of those years of having no offensive line in front of him got him so used to moving around that now that he has a good line in front of him, it's second nature for him to shift, slide and move (ebb and flow) with the line's blocking.

The reason there are Thursday games at all is because of all the moaning and groaning of other teams that the Cowboys have an unfair advantage on Thanksgiving.

Interesting that they never say anything about Detriot.......

I agree - no reason to complain about it. Just play the game.

You got it, Dallas took it when no one wanted it. As time went on all of a sudden others wanted that spotlight. Tex was smart when he told the NFL office we agree to play the game but it has to be every year they agreed and Dallas has done it every year (outside of 2 years the Cards got it, the ratings went down and the league quickly put Dallas back on TD game) I have attended every one of them except for the 1st year

I'm sure there was a lot of snoring going on, on the flight home. Sometimes even a 3 hour sleep helps tremendously.

I look at this a little differently, and to me it seems that in this stretch of schedule there is a slight advantage for the Cowboys. That being said, I do not think there should be Sunday night or Monday night games before a Thursday game. Here is the data I used:

DateOpponentAmount of Rest For CowboysAmount of Rest for OpponentAdvantage
24-NovGiants14 days7 daysCowboys
27-NovEagles3.5 days4 daysEagles
4-DecBears7 days7 daysEven

These guys are young. They can handle a few hours less sleep. If they were in their 50's or 60's, I'd be worried. They require less sleep and their bodies recover more quickly than the old guys.

If the Cowboys lose, it will have nothing to do with this turnaround.

But they won't lose.

Better in a Jet flying home than a night club partying. lol

Tony Romo is 6-1 on Thanksgiving. The one loss was against the Commanders at home by 7.

I think we have a big advantage playing at home on Thanksgiving regardless of the late game Sunday.

The NFL has such an agenda against us that they scheduled us against the Eagles in Dallas so they have a short week with travel then schedule us with two Thursday games in a row to give us extra time to prepare for the Eagles the 2nd time around.

The Eagles played at home on Sunday at noon.

And they have to travel for a day, check in and practice. But it's still a road game.

Cowboys wake up in their own bed and go to the stadium.

Who cares how tired can they be? They have enough days to recover and no one needs that much rest to function. Strap on your helmets and come out swinging on Thursday.
