What is overlooked in all of the deserved praise given to the offensive line is the fact that Romo kept moving and adjusting his position while focusing down the field the whole time.

That last play is just amazing to me because if you relax your focus a little, but it literally looks like the offensive line and Romo's movements are completely in sync.

I guess all of those years of having no offensive line in front of him got him so used to moving around that now that he has a good line in front of him, it's second nature for him to shift, slide and move (ebb and flow) with the line's blocking.

That was an amazing throw by romo

Who cares how tired can they be? They have enough days to recover and no one needs that much rest to function. Strap on your helmets and come out swinging on Thursday.

Yep focus on Philly that is the only thing Cowboys need to concern themselves with. As I mentioned playing Thanksgiving is nothing new for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys have been doing this for YEARS, so the routine has been passed down, they know what it is all about. And what to do, and how to handle it.
But do the younger players, which this team is. So this will be a test to the coaching staff and the trainers.

Yes the night game does not help much, and the Eagles had a home game against a poor team. But they travel on Wednesday. I hope there is a snow storm and they get delayed, and can't fly in until Thursday morning, sitting on the plane all night.....j/k.....

Snow due here Wednesday morning in PA

And they have to travel for a day, check in and practice. But it's still a road game.

Cowboys wake up in their own bed and go to the stadium.

My point being is that after their game ended on Sunday Philly got to go home and prep at home without getting on a plane. It's not like they played on the road and then had to get on a plane go back to Philly and then get on a plane again and go to Dallas. The Cowboys played on the road at night against a divisional opponent and then got on a plan and got home early Monday morning. Not making a big deal out of it but it there is a difference in the turnaround between the two teams based on this past Sunday's games and scenarios.

Knowing best practice to deal with a bad situation is different than being unfairly put in a bad situation.

But what can ya do?

We had a bye before the giants game so how did we come out?

Slow

Under Garrett we usually come out slow

Please stop making excuses

But that the norm for you unfortunately

It's funny. My first post said no excuses. Words have meaning.

And yes we had a bye. So what. Every team gets one. I don't care of we played week 1 in prime time and then week 2 Thursday afternoon.

I'd still call it hypocritical for an NFL that harps on player safety.

We can not complain at all. Eagles are traveling to us for thanksgiving. We have the advantage. This team knows what's on the line. Keep this train rolling.

There were posters here telling me that not getting a full night's rest in your bed following a football game and leading to a Thursday afternoon game is no big deal. Or that it wouldn't even happen that way with way too optimistic arrival times back to Texas.

Truth of the matter it is. The quality of Thursday games since their inception speaks to something missing... Either a lack of preparation (practice) or a lack physical preparedness just of the body.

The Cowboys got a very raw deal here with the prime time game.

No excuses but I'll be interested to see how we come out of the gate.

It does suck that they had the Sunday night game before the Thursday game. This is the most important game of the season and they have the short time between games ever.

Yes, I guess there is somewhat of an offset with the Eagles having to travel, but it still seems that the Cowboys are at a significant disadvantage.

Edit: The Eagles played at home on Sunday so the travel does not really offset the Cowboys playing Sunday night. Both teams had to travel once this week but the Eagles had a Noon game and the Cowboys had a night game.

They should have slept in NY on Sunday night and flown back Monday afternoon.

Simply not true.

Eagles finished let's say around 4 pm. Got treatment and the players went home and the coaches stayed in the facility and started prepping for us.

5 hours later we began a game. 4 hours after that we finished our game. 5 hours later we got home to Dallas at 5 am. Coaches probably took a nap and started on Philly. 4 pm we had a walk through.

If you think the difference in those situations is a couple hours on a plane Wednesday morning after a good night's rest I don't know what else to say.

12 hours after the Eagles finished playing at Philly a weary Cowboys team was climbing out of a plane on the tarmac.

No its ands about it.

Significant disadvantage.

Let's just say I'd prefer to have flipped schedules with Philly and be on the road Thursday.

Coaches likely started on Philly during the bye week. Dallas players by now have gotten the sleep they needed. if the game was Tuesday I would be more inclined to agree but the game is Thursday. Tuesday Cowboys got home at 5 they then went home and did not have to be back at Valley ranch until 8 hours later then had a lite work out. Today they will have their full practice.

Again. The situations are not equivalent at all.

Do you know what the word advantage means?

Because that's what we are talking about. Philly players likely got treatment all Sunday for those who needed it after the game and likely again on Monday all before Cowboys players probably got their first night in a bed after a football game.

Philly coaches got to begin breaking us down in earnest Sunday before we played and WHILE seeing us play another game.

You can talk about things we do to overcome the disadvantage. You can't speak about it not being a disadvantage.

And in a game sometimes decided by inches... See Dallas @ Giants Sunday night.... These things sometimes matter.

We are always the afternoon game on Thanksgiving. Detroit is always the morning game. The third game is always the evening game no matter who it is.

I love the time slot of the Dallas Turkey Day game. The first game is too early. The night game is too late. But that afternoon slot is the one that everybody is ready to watch after attacking the turkey.
