Take Dwayne Harris' unnecessary roughness penalty in the fourth quarter on a punt return. To me that's why every play should be challengeable. I know it may make the games a little longer, but enough of this incompetence...

I thought it was a legal play myself. If he doesn't hit him the player is free to down the ball and pin us back against the goalline.

Perfectly legal, perfectly clean hit. Did not understand the call at all. Had no bearing on the game. Just another annoyance.

True. Still have to wonder how the game would've gone had the cowboys been able to respond with a strong opening drive. But it was thwarted by the refs complete ineptness to know what pass interference is even when it was a text book example.

Edit: the ball actually hits about a yard from where Nolan was half a second after he is cleanly planted.

It could apply for anything.. this is football.. The rule shouldn't have been enforced, but the rules are what they are.

The call (non-call actually) worse than that was the Eagles DB holding Dez's arms with the ball in the air, without making a play on the ball. That's why I'm optimistic about the second game with the Eagles, their secondary won't be able to make up the talent gap by mugging Dallas receivers.

The Cowboys need to alter their offense with the realization that the Cowboys receivers are going to get mugged often without penalties. The Cowboys defense has struggled with offenses that use pick plays. The Cowboys offense really needs to push the boundaries of the rules with these types of plays. Also, I think some quick slants would be less prone to interference than the slower developing routes that the Cowboys seem to prefer.

a guy running down the field at full speed to plaster an opposing player should not have to worry about being plastered himself. that's just not fair.

They want to sissyfy football. Make it soft, for the girly men to play. This is the reason that there will not be a game as we know it in 10-15 years.
