Garrett said referee Clete Blakeman told him, “he hit him too hard unnecessarily.”
Uhmm what?
Yeah the referees the last two games have been terrible. Hasn't changed the outcome, but still terrible.
I thought it was a legal play myself. If he doesn't hit him the player is free to down the ball and pin us back against the goalline.

This is a rule that could apply..
Article 8 There shall be no unnecessary roughness. This shall include, but will not be limited to:
...
(e) unnecessarily running, diving into, cutting, or throwing the body against or on a player who (i) is out of
the play or (ii) should not have reasonably anticipated such contact by an opponent, before or after
the ball is dead...
It's the crap rules guys. The game has been going this way for awhile
That rule doesn't apply. Ball is in play as is Nolan, Harris knocks him in his rear end.
Edit: the ball actually hits about a yard from where Nolan was half a second after he is cleanly planted.
Great play by Dwayne Harris
True. Still have to wonder how the game would've gone had the cowboys been able to respond with a strong opening drive. But it was thwarted by the refs complete ineptness to know what pass interference is even when it was a text book example.
Unnecessarily throwing the body against a player who should not have reasonably anticipated such contact by an opponent before or after the ball is dead...
It could apply for anything.. this is football.. The rule shouldn't have been enforced, but the rules are what they are.
