Not to rain on anybody's parade here, but I am not convinced that this team is any different than previous years teams other than the defense not being historically bad. Before I get flamed, let me explain.
Garrett has always beat sub 500 teams and struggled mightly to beat teams above 500............this is not conjecture, we all know what Garrett's record is against these two groups of teams. Additionally, we usually have one game where we beat a really good team, like the undefeated New Orleans Saints for example.
Now look at this season, of our 8 wins on the season only 1 is against a team above 500. The rest are against teams that are currently sub 500. The sole team above 500 we beat was Seattle, every other team we played that is currently over 500 we lost to. This is the exact same formula we have seen repeated since Garrett took over............beat the bad teams, lose to the good teams, have one exception to this rule (Seattle this year).
So I don't see how anybody can say that this team has significantly improved overall when we are seeing the same formula repeat itself.................The good news is that this pattern will be tested because of the last 4 games, 2 of them are against teams over 500 (Philly and Indy).
If this team is different, it will have an opportunity to prove it during December.
