PFF Pro Bowl Selections (7 Cowboys)

I have much respect for Witten, but how did he get voted to the Pro Bowl?

No Smith, no Tony. That's a little disappointing to me. Especially Tony. I think that this has been the best Season he has ever played. All the injuries, the change in offensive scheme from Run First, I just think he deserved it this year.

can't disagree with any of those 7 and where they landed.

Romo not being an alternate is just dumb.
Agree Rodgers has been the best but Romo has been better than Brees.

Romo has a QBR about 9 points higher and below ONLY Rodgers.
He has 3 less TDs but 4 less INTs.

He also has a 10-3 record this year as starter while Brees is 6-8.

When I said "about right" I withheld comments on their selections. I of course in no way agree with Ryan over Romo on the list. I might also have an issue with Tyron not being in there as well. A case could be made for Rolando McClain to me, also.

Tyron hasn't been as good as last year. He's really good but he hasn't been elite.
Romo is just a bad miss. He has mediocre passing yards but great yards per attempt and efficiency.
When he throws he makes it count and makes very few mistakes.
He has had an Aikman-like season and that was obviously hall of fame worthy.

unfortunately once a player has been "branded" so to speak, it's pretty much game over for people changing their minds. they won't see the great things room has done, they'll be busy pointing out the mistakes he has in fact made and making that their only focus or care in the world. I think stat wise tony has done better I believe but results wise, he's getting it done and he's not doing it alone. that in itself is progress - not relying on 1 player to "elevate" the entire team.

so to the casual football fan, romo isn't "pro bowl" because of his 'legacy' fair or not.

You said it yourself...respect....

This happens to other players and teams as well.
This is payback for all the times a player was voted in that another may have deserved it more, no matter what team.

And I have not kept up with what other TE's have done, so maybe Witten does deserve it, as he should every year.

I disagree completely with their assessment of Brees. Make Brady the other starter, put Romo as an alternate and kick Brees out altogether.

BTW, I can almost guarantee you Tony Romo would prefer not going to the Pro Bowl at this point in his career and would likely opt out anyways.

Is the guy really going to take a shot to play in a Pro Bowl game?

Not to say that validates PFF being football stupid on his exclusion.

Who's counting these votes? John Mara? Marshall Faulk? How does Romo not make it? Unbelievable.
