Tony Romo: Wanted, Dead or Alive

Uh, how old are you?

Given that I don't know how old you are, there is a 50/50 chance that I'm older than you are. :) Just to make your guess a little easier, I actually did see Roger the Dodger play. ;)

What about this: Roger didn't have as many athletes to deal with as Tony?
I love Roger and I love the fact that Roger loves Romo. However, the game today is a lot different than it use to be with the speed and the size of the players.

In my opinion, players from back in the day were tougher though. It is hard for me to argue that it took more courage to play during the early days of football to the mid 90s. Going over the middle now is a lot different from going over the middle for a pass when all forms of separating a player from the ball was legal and encouraged.

Here is some more food for thought if player's from the past had the same nutrition and training breakthroughs that the current players have I suspect many of us wouldn't causally write off our football heroes of yesteryear.

Just imagine the Manster working out 24/7 to play football,..I know, scary thought but it would be fun to watch.

He was probably responsible for most of our 8 wins per season the last three seasons too. God know our defense didn't help him one freaking bit.

In some games yeah but he never capitalize on it. One reason why Romo is given the choker title.

Simply said, Aikman was clutch as f#ck.. Nuff said!!!!
Brady reminds me off him on Big Game days..

Still waiting on Romo..I think he will this yr...

This Romo love is immense, rightfully so. But as many plays Romo done I have seen him flop too. At the moment I see him as a Danny White until he bring home a ring. I disagree with the ones that say he did something with nothing. As i recall in 2007 we had 12 pro bowlers. And believe it or not our D then is better than it is now. Our oline was pretty good too. I can say in 2011& 2012 our roster seem a little suspect. But for the most part Romo has supporting cast

I love the guy, I do.

But this delusional "he was asked to do too much" excuse instead of calling it what it was which was "he threw too much that it led to game ending interceptions" is funny!

Romo has flopped. More times than I want to count.
To say that this year is different because he has "help" is silly.

Making better decisions HAS ALWAYS been his Achilles heel.

He is making better decisions.... the play calling has been better(using running game). THAT is why we are winning.

But anyway... Great video. I look forward to making one for Romo and Cowboys for playoff run and/or Super Bowl win!

Remember, everyone is waiting for Tony to flop via his previous ways.

Say NO to flopping!

Not Owen Wright, his name was Anthony Wright.

Yeah, I bought 5 or 6 of his rookie cards just in case he became really good. That didn't work out. :) I also have 7 SP Authentic Romo rookies...still have high hopes for those!

Umm...I'm not saying you are completely wrong - he has had his moments and his very nature included taking unnecessary chances, but I think if you give Tony Doomsday, or the 90's defense and coaching he is never put in positions to take chances.

Asked to do too much? How about this--

Asked to to more with less.

Yeah i like his current role at the moment. Keep him around 30 attempts a game. That is how Parcells utilize him. The more you throw the greater the chance for errors. That is why a ground game is crucial for Romo success.

I think I like highlight reels best with actual game audio.

It's gonna be great when he wins it this year to know that I was literally the only one who never jumped off the bandwagon. We mine as we'll share the sbmvp

What does that even mean? We probably would have been lucky to be 2-14 without him in all those seasons.

Great point. And yes, much, much TOUGHER back in the day.

His mentality was different in years past. Too much Favre-like decisions. Plenty of times Favre had game in hand and he INT'd it away. Romo did that too.

You know what my friend. Right now we are making a run here. Happy New Years to us... To the cowboys!! :)

You're so irreverent. Or do you spell that irrelevant? Did I say that out loud? :)

speaking as someone WHO WATCHED STAUBACH PLAY, you are full of crap

From someone who watched both Meredith AND Staubauch play...Romo stands alone. Neither Meredith nor Staubauch hand the physical skills nor the presence on the field. I can't tell you how many time Staubauch was ABSOLUTELY blindsided by both blitzing corners and linebackers. Romo has always had a second sense to where his pressure was coming from. If you are going to use Staubach as and example...remember who he was, and who he played with.
