How many times have you fallen in and out of love with Romo?

Ive supported romo from 06-13. It's not that I don't "love" him anymore, but the writing is on the wall, we need a replacement soon.

The pats are a team that is always looking to the future. they have been quietly looking for bradys replacement for like 3 years. I like how they are doing it draft, sit, learn, and repeat.

Well, Brady is 3 years older than Romo .

2012 when Romo led the league in interceptions and just barely broke the 90 barrier for QB rating (90.5).

It was my belief at the time that Romo has started his slow-decline that a lot of QB hit in their early to mid 30s.

In hindsight they asked him to do too much. Romo isn't the guy you want throwing the ball 40+ times a game -- he averaged 40.5 attempts that season. Frankly, you really don't wany ANY QB throwing it that much a game.

Lot's of truth there.

It's probably no coincidence that 2012 was the very rock bottom of our o-line issues as well.

Even then...as bad as it was compared to his usual years....he was nearly led the league in passing yards with 4900 and had far more TDs than ints.
It was sheer volume that led to so many ints...he and Brees were tied for league lead with 19.

His "bad" year really was not that bad at all relative to most QBs.
Examples
Romo "bad" year: 4900 yards, 28 TDs, 19 ints, (so +9 TD:int) 65% comp , 90.5 rating.
E Manning bad year: 3800 yards, 18 TDs, 27 ints (so - 9 TD:int) 57% comp, 69.2 rating.

He's never really had a "bad" year and has never come close to throwing more picks than TDs.
His worst rating was 90.5
Brady, Roethlisberger, Rivers and almost everyone else not named Payton or Aaron have had seasons worse than that.
lol...Guys like Flacco and Eli would consider that one of their best seasons ever.

None. Years ago I had said that all he needed was a better team surrounding him. Running game and a decent defense. He has never been the problem. Wasn't it a couple years ago that he threw 34 TD's and 10 picks with a terrible offensive line, zero run game and pitful defense. It's a shame that it has taken this long.

Being pissed off at a player for making a mistake and outright hating a player in general or not remotely the same in my eyes.

People who can't separate the two rationally, may want to visit a psychiatrist. :D

Yes, Tony Romo's worst season was still nearly 10 points higher than Eli Manning's career QB rating, and only slightly worse than Roethlisberger's career QB rating.

Amazing stuff.

True heck I would holler at the TV when Troy threw an int. Heck Troy threw his fair share it happens all you can do is hope the player shakes it off and go right back at the opponent and not be afraid to make a mistake. That is when a guy really starts to struggle when you focus becomes not making mistakes instead of trying to make plays

Never I was highly upset durning the San fran game this season.

Romo had me from his first spin move; his first dimply grin; his first improvised TD pass; the cute way he wore his cap backwards; his sweet sad countenance when he makes an oopsie; his fiery fist pump when he leads another comeback; his burning desire to make me happy..

Oh yes Romo I love thee:

My love is warmer than the warmest sunshine, softer than a sigh
My love is deeper than the deepest ocean, wider than the sky
My love is brighter than the brightest star that shines every night above
And there is nothing in this world that could ever change my love

1 time out - I think it was 2012 when we were in Washington playing the last game of the year to get into the playoffs against Bob Griffin.

The defense kept getting us the ball back and Tony kept throwing INT's. It took me the whole 2013 season to forgive him for that.
