Franchise tags never wind up being business. Players traditionally take it too seriously.

If the franchise tag was challenged in court of law, it would never hold up. Dez is a
complete free agent...so how could/should he be legally compelled to play for one team for an amount that can't be negotiated? But the players association signed the contract!
I understand a little how it rubs players the wrong way.
I don't think highly of billionaire owners but then I don't think highly of spoiled multi-millionaire athletes. I'm not a fan of either party in this situation.
Owner rights? Player rights? I only care about the fans in these situations and it's often the fans that get most cheated.
If Dez is making $10+ million for one season of football and he doesn't get himself ready to deliver....or brings it halfway...he'll only hurt himself. And us.
