It would have to be marijuana for a 4 game fine. That is the punishment for the 3rd failed test for weed.

PEDs result in an immediate suspension and even a DUI conviction is a 2 game suspension.

One is still on the field able to play the other can't play and help his team at all. Unfortunate or not , the injured player isn't reliable and can't help his team which is what Sean Lee has been for the Dallas Cowboys. Smoking weed is not a criminal.

Only Lee is under contract is he is expected to make the OTAs. So only one will be on the field and it's Lee.

Last I checked McClain was missing playoff games as well after retiring twice from football altogether. But you should keep betting on him over Lee.

Did you really type that about weed. It is criminal in Texas and Alabama and under Federal Law. It is also banned by the NFL. WOW!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, why don't we ask the Raiders how many games they thought he'd play and he didn't when they drafted him.

I have no idea what this means to the conversation we're having but whatever and Lee got hurt in OTAs so I don't expect him to make anything until he's out on the field for the first game of the season and makes it thru a complete season.

McClain played in both playoff games. Lee's never played in one. Last time I checked McClain was ON the field playing and Lee wasn't.
 
Is a "four game fine" the loss of four game checks? I've never seen that phrase before.
 
We've now gotten into a Quincy vs Hutch in terms of LB reliability.

Oh well, at least these guys can play when they do get on the field.
 
this should make the negotiations much simpler for Dallas...sign cheap or see ya....and, that is with me wanting him back...when on the field, he was a difference maker...I want to see the LB corp in games and healthy from the guys we had last year...I think they should draft a LB if one is on the board and BPA in one of the rounds (doesn't have to be early), but no more drafting guys that are coming in injured

I still find the following quote (to ESPN in 2013) troubling and think we should be happy with the production we got, move on, and hope he gets the help he needs

"I was feeling like Aaron Hernandez or something," he says, "like I just wanted to kill somebody." He remembers watching Hernandez get hauled out of his house in handcuffs, later charged with first-degree murder, and being genuinely scared he'd end up the same way.
 
It's actually Lee's inability to stay healthy that spurred Jerry to call McClain.

And even then the Cowboys did bring in McClain until the start of training camp.

So one thing is obvious, they weren't terribly worried about the position right after Lee got hurt in the spring.
 
If he'll come back cheap, I might still consider him. Guy is obviously a dolt. All SORTS of potential and can't get is act together. But this hurts his market value and we could still re-sign him IF he's cheap enough.

I'm telling you, the guy is not right mentally. Unless he comes crawling back to Dallas looking to sign on the cheap for one year, I wouldn't even consider bringing him back.
