I think two things...the got a D player who could be great and 2) Shady was on the outs because they didn't like that he wasn't hitting the hole hard. From everything I've read about Kelly he is loyal but he also won't tolerate BS. He wanted Foles gone last October/Novemeber. The Shady reports of being soft started happening later. And both gone.

I think the writing was on the wall about how the FO felt about re-signing Murray when they fed him 390 carries last year. You don't do that to a back you intend to give big $$$ to for the next 3-4 years.

Was correct way to work him tbh. You don't pay RBs unless they are special!

Keep hearing all of this talk from mediots that the sense in the locker room amongst the players in Dallas now is that if you play your heart out then the Cowboy's FO won't pony up the money to pay you. First of all, they know nothing about what's going on in our locker room or with our current players and second of all, doling out high end deals in free agency to players has gotten us nowhere in 20 years.

We are damned if we do and damned if we don't. Ridiculous.

Short term, yeah definitely. But I don't think Murray is going to age well after the monster workload season he just went through, particularly in that up-tempo offense.

Also both these two and Bradford don't have many good knees between them.
