Finally considering biting the bullet and getting a smartphone (iPhone, Android, etc). Feeling like I'm the only one that doesn't have one.

Right now I'm paying 64 bucks a month for 1000 texts and no data.

How much do you all pay? Trying to figure out how this cost will project over the long term.

$75/mo total for two lines, no taxes or fees. Unlimited talk and text through cricket wireless. We get around 3gb of high speed data that gets throttled if you go over. They use AT&T towers (they're owned by AT&T) . I travel a lot, and the coverage is excellent.

I pay about $110 via t-mobile, but a portion of the cost is toward the iPhone.

I was paying $120 for one line, 2GB data. I was on an extremely old plan and wasn't paying attention to the changes.

Now I'm at $80-90, I think. Phone/Tablet and 6gb data

$90/mo through T-Mobile for 3GB data and unlimited talk/text. About $25/mo of that is for my Xperia Z1S phone.

$40 a month for unlimited everything. Metro PCS. I did by my phone though. Service sucks outside of the DFW area.

After all fees and surcharges, I pay $58 a month for 500 minutes talk (I think), and unlimited text and data. $7 or $8 of that is for insurance on my phone.

$160/month. Unlimited talk and text. 4 GB data. 2 phones. Verizon

I'm with Red. You should look to see if they've got better options. For a year, I paid more than what I should have, because I didn't realize they changed plan options and my plan was way more pricier than the current plans.

I believe mine is $220 through 4 lines unlimited text and call, 15GB of data. This includes paying for 3 Iphones and taxes and surges.

My bill is usually around $77/mo with AT&T -- Single line; $40 for Nation 450 w/ Rollover and $30 for 3GB LTE Data. I pay per message and there's around $7 in taxes.

Contract is up in July. Might switch to T-mo or go back to using a dumb phone and using an iPod for music/podcasts. Email, maps and the Dallas Cowboys app are not enough for $900+/yr. Most of my data use ends up being on wifi.

I have MetroPCS too. It's $40 for "unlimited" 4G LTE but it throttles you down to 2G after I think 500 MB of data. The $60 plan (which I have) is truly unlimited.

MetroPCS here too, but we have the family plan. 4 lines with unlimited talk and text, 2 gigs data on each line before they throttle you and the cost is $100 total per month for all 4 lines. You have to buy your own phone, but they have ridiculously cheap smart phones and there is no contract.
