If he could be a consistent #3 starter, that would help a great deal stabilize the rotation.

I really don't hate the Mets.

It's usually the utter disdain by their fans that makes me rag on them (not counting you, you don't do that... I don't recall) lol

I would have no problem routing for Mets to win World Series (not against yanks of course) it's just that if they win...the fans get all crazy about the yankee met thing....just like when giants win.. They can't stop talking about cowboys lol
 
I couldn't care less about what the Yanks do or don't do. They are not the enemy, that would be the NLE. It is going to be a good series this weekend for sure, hope we can take a couple.
 
At the moment, my beloved Yanks are pounding David Price. Up 6-0 against almighty David Price and it is only first inning. Loving it :)
 
And just like that Tigers answer with a 4 run first inning. 6-4 Yankees and this is still first inning.

I am not proclaiming that they win the series or even make the playoffs, but....

Pitching wins games, just like defense in the NFL. Harvey isn't even ready yet and DeGrom might end up better than the Dark Knight. In the end, you win with pitching and the Mets have it!

It will be interesting how things spin out in the NL East the rest of the season.

If the Nationals don't win it, that will be a big story.
 
been a Met fan since 1969. As pessimistic as one can be, thanks to the Wilpons. But it is nice to see them doing this well this early. Red, the Mets typically do go into a dive right after the all star break but they also dont typically win 11 games in a row. Usually it is the braves walking into town and sweeping the Mets. Was nice to finally return the favor. Now on to the Yankees.
