Cowboys looking at teams for RB trade?

Thank God....................I knew Jerry/Stephen/Garrett could not be so stupid as to think our current group of scrubs could replace Murray.

Get a legit starting caliber RB in here and with our offseason and draft, we are ready for a deep playoff run. (and no, I didn't mention Peterson either, just give me a legit starter that can carry the rock 20-25 times a game).
 
Lamar Miller on this team would be no drop off from Murray. Another back will be brought in before camp without a doubt.
 
Went looking at Minnys OL, to see if they could use Leary and found this. Holy Cow....6'9 351...?

I agree.................Leary is an UFA after this season and if Collins is the starter, he is out of here.

Miami is thinking the same thing with Miller, he is an UFA and is probably going to walk after this year since Miami has drafted other RBs.

So it is a pretty even trade, we both have players that are going to be UFA and are most likely walking after this year and its basically "trading prisoners" as Broaddus always says. And if he blows up and has a monster year behind this line, then we are most likely making a deep playoff run and if we lose Miller in free agency because of this, that is just another comp pick in waiting.

Really does sound like a good trade for both teams involved.

We'd have to trade for him, Dolphins aren't trading him without a great offer (Ajayi is still unproven), and Dallas isn't trading for an RB with their weird confidence in this group of RBs.

I'd bring in Moreno though. If we're going to take a chance on an injury plagued RB, he's who I'd go for.

How?

2012, 2013, 2014, 2015...................his contract is up after this season and he has 4 years in the league............that makes him an UFA, doesn't it?

And even if we don't count 2012, he still has 3 yrs of service and undrafted free agents hit unrestricted free agency after 3 yrs instead of 4, it is one of the benefits of not being drafted.

I think that davis could easily carry 20 to 25 times a game. he also is great at pass blocking. plus he still has two years left before he is a free agent.

He is a projection to be that kind of back. He reminds me a lot of Shonn Greene.

Miami and Nola are interesting. Miller IMO is a starter here, where Robinson would be a good compliment to Randle.
 
Lamar Miller could do some serious damage behind this OL. I'd give them a 4th for him no problem.
 
I'm not buying it. They will give the current guys a chance before they bring in someone else. Once the current guys prove themselves, we'll stay pat.
They may be putting out feelers but that's just to pacify you panicked Murray worshipers.
 
I'm not sure some of you guys have watched Martin very closely the last two seasons.
He is not the same back he was 3 years ago. He's been injured a lot, but even when he came back, he was not even the 3rd best back on the Bucs.
2012...4.5 ypc
2013...3.6 ypc
2014...3.7 ypc

Plus, he's a surprisingly poor receiver as well.

If they cut him...maybe pick him up for a look. Or maybe for a 7th later this year if they at least two of the 4 in-house aren't looking as good.

I would kill for Forte to be on this team, especially as it might just cost us a 4th, or 3rd at worst (which we will have what? 3 of? next year). Yea I know he is old, but he had over 1,800 total yards last year (800 of them in the receiving game), and consistently runs for over 997 yards (had 929 yards his worst season). With him behind this line, watch out.

P.S. Forte has had more total yards than Peterson 2 of the past 3 years Peterson has played, crushing him 1,933 to 1,437 in 2013... food for thought.

You bring him in for cheap for a look. The guy has talent; injuries and lack of offensive talent may have a lot to do with his lack of production the past two seasons or he may just stink. You don't trade anything significant for him.

I would give a 2nd. He is the best back in the league next season with this team. Problem is you will have to resign him and he could legitimately ask for more than Murray received.

I have watched Martin and yes, I realize he isn't the phenom he was in his rookie year. So what would you expect to fetch in trade for a backup guard?

We all have a habit of overvaluing our own talent but Leary is not going to fetch a bounty.

Change the trading stakes for a RB and I lose interest. If it goes towards high draft choices and the like, I am out.

That applies to most of the players that might be available.
