Pretty much just do something to where you'll both have fun. Even if it doesn't work out, as long as you two become friends there can be perks to that. She may have friends she could set you up with. So don't worry if there's not a connection between you two. Have fun!

Don't ask a bunch of invasive questions, but let the conversation be natural. You're trying to get to know her, and she's trying to get to know you. But you don't want it to come off as an interview. Interviews usually make people nervous. When people are relaxed is generally when they have fun.

Things like this can be nerve-racking if you let them. Don't be afraid to joke around with her. Although it's generally best to not be too vulgar.

Think of places you like to go. It will give her a feel for who you are. It would probably be best to try to make it a place she will enjoy too though.

You said you met her a techno event and that you both shared similar music so take her dancing. You want to do something that you both share interest in that's how you ended up meeting. The worst first dates are movies because you sit there for an 1 1/2 to 2 hrs watching a movie instead of getting to know the person you're with. Dinner, drinks and dancing is a good first date. Some guys try to overly impress a girl on a first date which can work with some but it can also make some girls a little nervous. You want to keep a first date relaxed and get a feel for each other (not literally lol) and see where the chemistry takes it. I posted about an awful first date experience I had back in college. It was a blind date and those can sometimes be a disaster. I was doing a favor for a friend who still owes me by the way.

The girl was his cousin who was in town for a few days. I asked him what she looked like and he said he couldn't remember because he hadn't seen her in years. :cool: When I went to pick her up I was expecting the worse and that's exactly what I got! She was a short, extremely overweight Hispanic girl with a frizzy hairdo and a large mole on her forehead. My friend was there when I picked her up and he refused to make eye contact with me. He quickly introduced us and ran off. She told me she was glad she didn't arrive in town a few days earlier because she just got over a severe bout with diarrhea like I really needed to hear that. :facepalm: Then in a very heavy Spanish accent she said it gave her a bad case of the sheeeeeets....be still my heart!

Do what my big brother taught me when I was young. Pick her up and then stop at a drugstore and tell her to wait in the car while you go buy some condoms. Go inside and browse a little while and when you come out to the car if she is still there...you are in!

If she is gone you just saved a lot of money dinner, dancing, drinks and drugs! lol
 
You know, I've been thinking. This thread was created on May 7. Doesn't that seem like an awfully long time for anyone to keep hearing someone else say, "STOP! NO! NEIN! NYET! GET AWAY! EWW! Appears Stryker must have struck out he never posted an update. He probably took her to a bar and realized things weren't going well when she gave the mechanical bull she was riding her number.
