Dez asking for 17m a year

My only concern is if we tag him two years in a row that he will go half *** on the field and not want to produce because we haven't given him what he wants. You know throw a tantrum and all that. I know people are going to say "He'll want to stay professional for any future team he goes to if not the Boyz," but he could still take plays off which would hurt the team. That is my biggest concern.

This woudl only hurt his future big money contracts so I cannot see him giving half effort

Well with Russell Wilson in his final year of his current contract I doubt that Seattle could afford both him and Dez.
Green Bay is at 128 million for 2016. Maybe.
Skipping games only costs him more $$$$ even with the TAG. And then what team would think about signing him after he did that.

Well somebody will pay him.

**** it, guess we are stuck with Terence Williams as our lead Receiver in a few years.

Wake up people. if it's true Dez wants 17 million, and the cowboys are offering 13 million. meet in the middle at 15 million and problem solved. Pay this man and move on.

Yeah because there are no WR coming out of college any longer. I hope Dallas signs him but I also think the front office has to do what is right by the entire team not 1 player. Dez (if this report is true) is asking money that makes no sense for this or any organization and while someone may be stupid enough to pay that kind of money chances are it would not be a winning team. Heck Maybe Oakland would.

I'm in the camp that believes that Roc Nation promised him a CJ type contract to get his business, and now they're afraid they can't deliver. They're basically staring down the Cowboys, hoping they blink first, but I don't think they will. Dez could sit the first game, and if he comes back and has a monster season the rest of the way, people will forget about it. But even if he does, which I don't think is likely, I still don't see the FO giving in to those types of demands. I don't like the idea of starting the season without him, but the reality is, there's always the possibility you have to go without someone for a length of time. And honestly, I think we beat the Giants with or without him.

$17,000,000/year.

lmao.

Haggle hard, Mr. Bryant. Haggle hard.

No wonder he doesn't want to sign his franchise tag. He probably thinks he's worth more per year than what the franchise tag would give him.

To be quite honest, even having a Dez on the field that takes plays off is still better than having no Dez at all. He will still command the attention of safety help, this I can assure you.

Well if this is true, then we have no choice.

He is worth more than the franchise tag. that's why the cowboys have the mess they have made with him right now.

Well, I have been debating this since I found out he was considering boycotting games...now this. Bottom line, it's time to change my sig!

If true, cease negotiations now. He can sign the franchise tag or rot until he does. I hope this is a bored writer

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what's been going on. I thought I read somewhere recently that the Cowboys haven't actually made him an offer since before the end of the season. If true, and based on what Stephen's been saying about how they are more than happy to have him play under the tag.... the Cowboys will not be entering into any negotiations as long as Dez's price is what it is.

Roc Nation is not in charge of negotiating his contract. Tom Condon is his agent. Roc Nation is his marketing firm.
