The dream is officially over. Yeah yeah...pile it on.....:) Adrian Peterson just restructured the final three years of his deal with the vikings....I moved on a while ago but man it was nice to dream about.

The Vikings and Adrian Peterson have agreed to restructure the final three years of his contract.

Early in the offseason, Peterson made it seem like he was upset with the Vikings for turning their back on him during the child abuse scandal. In reality, he wanted more guaranteed money over the next two years of his contract. Although details aren't out yet, this restructure almost certainly accomplishes that. His base salary numbers over the next three years will come down, but his guarantees will go up. Peterson, who turned 30 in March, will be with the Vikings for at least two more years.

It was fun while it lasted. I really wanted him after losing Murray. Money changes everything I guess.

The Vikings and Adrian Peterson have mutually agreed to restructure the final three years of Peterson's contract. Per team policy, contract details will not be disclosed.

It has to be disclosed because of the salary cap.

As I said, he had no leverage. I don't doubt that he wanted out of Minnesota. But the reality is that he wasn't going to leave millions of dollars on the table, and no team was going to trade a king's ransom to get him. So either he plays with the Vikings or he sits. As the Prodigal son story goes, "And he came to his senses."

Hold off on your holding off. What do you think this portion of his public statement means?

"I appreciate the Vikings for working together on this restructured contract, which provides additional security for me but also allows opportunities for me to further prove my value to the team and within the NFL," said Peterson. "It was important for me to continue my career in Minnesota, and I cannot wait to get on the field in front of Vikings fans again."

That he is going to whoop on every team he plays?

Personally I think his days leading the league in rushing are behind him.

I hope do not get a ban for this comment.

THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!!!

He has a very bruising, punishing style. But if he beats you to the outside it's over.

doesn't mean they still can't trade him to us so there still is a chance
