Nothing major here, just some trivia.

excerpt....

And after a few practices, Romo is starting to see some momentum building in Johnson's favor.

"Gus did a good job yesterday. We had a short yardage and goal line," Romo said on KTCK-AM 1310 via The Dallas Morning News. "It's hard because you don't have live so you don't have the chance to show your ability to break a tackle, maybe get through a gap with a thud, not being a thud, it's not a tackle. I just think he showed a little bit when we were live yesterday in some of the shortage. He's got a chance."

Appears to be.

I see no reason to believe he could not surpass McFadden and Dunbar, especially if they cannot stay healthy and he can.

To make an impression..

he doesn't have to surpass DeMarco.

he just needs to be willing to be physical.

Murray was that more than fast or shifty.

Emmitt Smith was quick thru the hole then tough to bring down.

His yards after contact were legendary.

If he can stay healthy..this could be an answer.

We see Thursday.

EVERYBODY HOP ON THE GUS BUS FOR A CRAZY RIDE THROUGH TIME AND SPACE!!!

I believe he is 5 ft 10- 215 lb's
If you watch his college tape he looks good all be it against very weak competition
He will get his shot but it's gonna be a tough road to either bump someone off the roster or force a 4th RB onto the roster
But if one of the other guys can't stay healthy, who lnows

At this point, what other choice do we have other than seeking outside help.

I do like that Johnson has some thumper to him, the question will be his vision to see the hole and initial burst to get there.

Thanks, I just saw the other Gus Johnson thread. He has a little wiggle, looks a little slow but that might be deception. Looks like he has a decent shot..

Plenty of DII players have had outstanding, even HoF careers in this league. We'll know as time goes on...

Romo's praise usually follows up with good performances over the years

It doesn't sound like Romo was giving him his seal of approval, though. It sounds like someone asked him a question about Johnson and he gave his typical pc answer.

"He's got a chance" got me feelin like he's actually got a chance
