If Claiborne can step up, I don't think a depth chart of Carr, Claiborne, jones, white, and patmon is horrible. I think patmon will surprise if given the opportunity and Corey white has looked solid this preseason

+1.

It's not a proven lineup, but there's a lot of potential(ugh) and 3-4 young guys with a chip on their shoulders.

White and Patmon has looked good and Jones looks like he should be fine for the regular season.

IF Mo can regain his confidence, the loss of Scandrick won't hurt as bad.

That's a tough blow. He has been really solid for us.

I hope he recovers well for next season.

This is pretty much the dumbest thing I've read in a long time.

As much as i agree with you..... Those that believe in this type of stuff-really have a point.

I feel bad, think we lost an above average player. But in NO WAY was his head on right..... Just too much personal stuff going on.

Again, feel bad..... BUT

Curious if they keep one of Steeples or Ross, or do they sign a vet

I'd say both are well aware that one of them might have a strong shot to make the team or find a place on the PS if they
ball out for the next two weeks. No vets will be coming until after the Giants game for sure.

I would think people are kidding about this being a contract injury. I don't know anyone who would rather deal with a blown ACL/MCL than to play football.

Well it definitely weakens the defense.
Jones is a rookie, he may make plays and do good, but he will also make rookie mistakes and get beat.
Claiborne is a big ? mark as to how he will play.
Corey white I read was good in zone but not in man.
Carr has a broken hand ?

So I think teams will be more inclined to pass on dallas now, unless the pass rush is really good.

I think Scandrick was not paying attention, he should have seen him coming and got his feet off the ground.
Or not ran right into a guy going to the ground.

Scandrick had experience and made a lot of plays up around LOS or stopping a play in backfield.
He wasnt afraid to tackle like mo, so this is a big loss, but the show goes on , next man up is all they can do.

Actually, reports were, yesterday, that the knee buckled before Whitehead hit it. Similar to the Martin/Lee incident last year.

no he had his leg planted and lucky fell right into it, and that was when it buckled.
If he could have just got his foot off the ground then he would have been just knocked down.
I think he was running in to make a unneeded hit, and then lucky fell lower than he anticipated.

Question

Does this have anything to do with the same knee that was bothering him early on in camp when he missed time?? Maybe it was weak and when hit got hit it just fully tore?

Orlando Scandrick, man, you have had to over achieve at each step of your NFL development. You showed us heart throughout your time with our Cowboys.

I apologize that you have given every ounce in preparation and directional effort, but now, even more work will be demanded by you. You have a hard road of recovery, ahead. But based upon your character and determination, I'm betting that you are up for every ounce of toil to come.

Thanks for what you have given already, and I am going to root you through your return.

Never been as big on Scandrick as a lot of people are. I think either White or Jones will step in and do fine.

Same with me. Tough to lose a high-caliber player, but we have some good depth this year.

Get well Scandrick. See you in 2016.

We had 6 quality corners, based on reports in camp. Now, we have 5. Although Scandrick has the best track record of all of these guys, I don't think we are necessarily that much weaker on D. Our depth takes a hit, but as it stands right now I think the D we put out there isn't necessarily much weaker at all.

Corey white I read was good in zone but not in man.

I think what you saw was that White was better suited for Marinelli's defense than Rob Ryan's defense and assumed that meant man vs zone; however, it actually meant whacky scheme (Ryan) vs scheme that focuses on fundamentals (Marinelli).

Yes, it appears to be the same knee.
