News: Cowboys Trade for Christine Michael per Schefter

I read the Seattle threads and they are saying Ahman Green 2.0, even heard an AD out of it! Lol

I would rather had released Swaim or McCray however. Edwards is way better than either!

He is always dealing with nagging injuries and has fumbling issues.......seriously, I hate this trade.

We had Malcolm Brown for basically free.

Unsure how you arrived at this. Statistically, he only had 2 fumbles over 2013 and 2014 and 1 in 2015. Did I miss something? That's 3 fumbles out of 105 carries for a back that's used sparingly. Maybe it's correctable. I suppose we'll see.

Michael is perfect for what we do. I think he can be a really good one cut runner. He appears to have plenty of explosiveness. I don't know about his pass pro or catching, but Seahawks fans generally wanted to see more of him up here.

Watch the one handed grab he made in the highlights and get back to us.

Michael has a real chance to become the back everyone thought he would behind this line and with our passing game. Ignore those talking about he's only worth a conditional 7th.
His value is way more than that. He is much better than most of the backs taken from round 2 on in this past draft. The value of players is at its lowest on cutdown day and the day after as teams look to get what they can.
Seattle has Rawls on a UDFA deal and Michael was on a 2nd round pick deal. If they like Rawls and he is cheaper, its easy to see way they would move him. That doesn't mean he is no good.
The guy is a very good RB and has a chance to emerge as a star in Dallas.

This makes sense, plus he is not a rkg, and there may be some other issues, but seattle has lynch and jackson for this year.
This could be a good deal for dallas, they may need to communicate with this guy via "Rap" I think that is his main language.

<Makes things more interesting, I would like to see him week one against the giants. at least a few carries.

We've departed about opinions before. So in your opinion this guy gives us a 4-game swing?

And if so, what would've Fred Jax given us?

Maybe 1 game. This is a much better grab. I'll admit that the Fred Jackson thing was just blind excitement at something.. anything. They were patient enough to wait and make this happen. I'm stoked.

& it's a 3 game swing but who's counting. ?

I think the idea was that Edwards was going to be cut for Hardy eventually anyway. Brinkley is the other option but between Hitchen's foot, McClain's self medicating, and the reality of Lee's career LB depth is problematic.

I'm calling my shot and saying Dunbar doesn't make it to week 5.

I don't think anyone gets that many carries. They seem committed to the RBBC which is OK if they stick with it.

They need all 4 RBs the way I see it. Maybe not 4 active every game(that would be my preference) but knowing they have quality backups is important.

They may say RBBC but once one of these RB's takes over... DMC or Michael... I think they will start getting the bulk of the carries. Randle can't pass block to save his life... so he is nothing more than a change of pace back. DMC will be the starter and will eventually get hurt opening up the door for Michael IMO.

He's run style reminds me of Murray with a little burst in space. The other 3 backs we have seem to go down too easy. Even a gust of a mild wind will tend to topple them over. Not CMike. He's a bruiser that I think will fit well with our run attack.

actually he reminds me more of Lynch. He looks to punish defenders...fast forward to 0:45

They are also upset that he was traded to the Cowboys. If he can put it all together here in Dallas they will regret this trade like they did with Green.

I don't know much about this guy . What are his best points ?

IMO good value for a seventh conditional now losing Lavar Edwards has to be brought into the equation, Are we a better offense now, I think so as I think Michaels is equivalent to Randal so IMO we got better especially in the dirty yards category I do not think there is enough relevant tape to give a thumbs up or down on pass protection.
He seems to have some " look at me" in his personality so be prepared to start cringing. Hey this is a move that good teams use trying to hit on some talent much like McClain last year.
It is strange to note that Michaels has been shouting out to the cowboys since before training camp that they should trade for him. First time I can remember something like this coming to pass.
