The consensus among Seahawks fans is that they are NOT happy that he ended up in Dallas.

That should help some of you sleep a little better.

you think the coaches in Dallas will be able to force the guy to break his bad habits of using his hand wrong to run with the ball? the coaches out in Seattle couldn't force him to break his bad habits of wrongly using his hands to protect the football while running which led to a lot of fumbles.

Absolutely no reason to keep Dunbar around over Edwards or Gardner (Edwards won job over him I'd say). No way there's enough balls to go around to keep involved too. First move I haven't liked this off season (not cutting Dunbar with Michael here, and losing depth at DE)

This x 100
Dunbar should have been gone

Are we keeping 4 RBs now (5 if you count Clutts)? Also why was he sort of a failure I'm Seattle... yea there is the Lynch thing but... still 51 career carries and them being willing to trade him for basically nothing seems bad

http://www.seahawks.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=112889

Hawks fans are pretty livid they traded him to a contender. A
good read, several bring up the fumbling issue, but several think it was stupid to trade him to dallas who is a rival contender in the playoffs,
and a team they play in dallas this year. They said smarter to trade him to a AFC team.
Many did think he might be a good fit here in dallas, and will find out if he is a bust or a talent.

They said he wasnt all that good at learning the plays, and his assignments, pass blocking, but was a good runner.

Reading that did make me feel good about the trade. Sure he has his problems(what do you expect when trading a conditional 7th pick?) but he clearly has a ton of upside and could turn out to be the best back on our roster.

It was like in 70 carries. Looks like Seattle gave him a very short leash.

I counted 105 carries during 2013, 2014 and 2015 combined and 3 total fumbles when I looked it up. Are you sure you got that right? Not doubting he was on a short leash, though. I heard he got in the coach's doghouse by oversleeping and being late for a meeting.

Expected something like this.

The Cowboys figure that McFadden will get injured at some point and Randle cannot handle the role by himself. Dunbar isn't a between the tackles guy that you can lean on for 20 carries a game if you had to. I'm not even sure that Randle is.

Michael can make plays and provides needed depth. It's all good.

I like the pickup. Is he my preferred choice? No, but I prefer him over Run DMC or Randle.

We're one Romo injury away from a lost season and Randle showed absolutely nothing to show that we should trust him in pass protection.

With that being said though I still wish that Rawls wouldn't have passed on us at the last minute and picked Seattle instead.

He's as good or better an athlete it appears as Peterson. Obviously he's not as good a running back, though.

Dunbar has a role on the team and the RBBC. He is good with screens and dump offs and the 2 minute drill.
He also can contribute on STs.

11 DL is a lot, even for Marinelli.

Good question.

I can't imagine it's the new guy... not without knowing the Cowboys' playbook.

I have no idea how his pass-blocking is.

It might take a couple weeks, but I believe Michael will spilt snaps with McFadden with Randle being his primary "backup" with Michael getting snaps on run downs and McFadden getting snaps on passing downs.

Michael in my opinion is a superior player to Randle and comes in with a similar rap sheet right now. Good runner who is unproven ( moreso then "bad") in pass pro. Given Randle knows the offense I believe for the first couple weeks of the season he will be the primary runner, but a major fire has been lit under him

Wow. I have also seen CM tested as low as 4.43 in the forty.

Athleticism on paper and athleticism on the field are two different things. Don't get me wrong. I like this trade and looking forward to seeing him run behind this offensive line
