Why are people assuming he is a deep threat?

He is more middle of the road IMO.

That's a valid question, but my thinking is he might get on the field for a few plays this Sunday if for no other reason than to run straight go routes deep and take a CB with him. Clear it out a little underneath that D for our other established WR's to make some plays. Then by the following week he might be able to step it up and actually get targeted. Time will tell obviously. So yeah, he is just a 'threat' at this point but more so with his speed and size than Lucky or Street quite frankly. Decent pickup with an unknown upside.

Raiders are a mess. If this was the Pats, I'd give it some credence. But a guy we liked who has been with a poor coaching staff here for a free look?

Yea, doesn't hurt to look. I am just not going to get too excited.

That first video really shows the jets this guy has. He catches the ball and turns it on and splits three defenders. He accelerates past them like they are standing still.

He is no Dez Bryant but I think he has shown more in his limited time than Street has here. I am not a fan of Street and I think the Cowboys are becoming less enamored with Street as well. Give me this guy and his speed and size.

So... Basically.... It's a conditional pick. So, in the meantime, we get a free look.

If he's not worth it, we cut him and keep our pick. If he shows enough, we keep him and lose a round in the draft. Which... If he shows enough, is a plus...

The downside is....?

I feel bad for some here. Their lives must be awful to be constantly miserable .

Never liked the street pick. He's a possession receiver with not much speed. Wished they picked Caraun Reed with that pick instead.

If he turns into something he can be a real force as a #2 with Dez as the #1. Great speed and size, nice highlights. Maybe a change of scenery and new coaches turns the light on. In any event, I like the move.

Which part do you deny? Martin being overrated? S'ua-Filo and Yankey having higher upside? Or taking one of them after the first was preferable to drafting Martin in the first?

I had Martin at the top of my OG list in an "OG Review" that I did back then.

I did argue against Martin as an OT.

I did suggest that they could get 4 mid round OL for the cost of 1 mid first round pick. The players I suggested at that point were not Yankee or Filo.

I think I did make one off hand comment in terms of "might as well draft Filo in the 2nd" because early on I was not gung ho to draft a Guard mid first.

In any actual rankings or reviews that I put out, I had Martin as the top Guard.

By draft time Filo and Yankey were low on my list. I really wanted Trai Turner in the 3rd round and Aaron Donald in the 1st.

I think the Cowboys were planning to get something other than a Guard in the 1st and really wanted Trai Turner in that situation. They still tried to get Turner even after drafting Martin.

I think the 4 mid round OL I said they could get for the equivalent of 1 mid first were Turner, Turner, Thomas and maybe Dozier.

I think 2 of them are now starters and Trai Turner also started some games last season.

In looking back at my OG review I said Zack Martin was technically as good ad it gets and might be the most NFL ready player in the draft.

Why does Chearean Williams say on roster for 6 games. He could be on it rest of the year. Seems a wasted trade to have him for 6 games. I know when Dez returns, then we have 6 WR's, and most likely one goes. But seems reticulum trade then. Pick up a street guy at that point.

If you trade for a player, then plan to keep him. Unless they plan to waive Whitehead and then try to get him on the PS.

I'd send him across the middle next week so he can flatten Kiko Alonzo and let him know that showing your abs on the football field was only cool in high school.
