Last week he looked tentative to me.
This week he continually made something out of nothing. I don't care about his stats. He was very good today. Murray would not have done better.

Lost in all of the other stuff, despite his rush total not being gaudy, he played a very good game in running the football, pass protection, and in the passing game.

If Weeden can just not screw up for about 6-8 weeks, we should be in a good position to try and get into the postseason by mid-November.

I want to see the defense continue it's growth, before adding back Gregory, Hardy, and McClain.

Then watch as Randle rings up a few games over a hundred yards rushing.

You should probably duck. Your alerts are about to explode.

Randle has a long way to go before entering "Murray could have done no better" territory for me. He's averaging 3.4 yards per carry this season, something Murray did very infrequently over the course of consecutive games -- much less to start a season, if memory serves.

I don't think Randle is terrible, but put me in the camp of having seen enough to believe he is not a 16-game starter. I'd love to be proven wrong.

But I do think we'll be sitting here in a few weeks going, "I know he has 367 yards on 100 carries, but that 3.6 yard average is misleading..."

Randle averaged 2.7 a carry on 18 carries and that's VERY good??? o_O The Cowboys running attack averaged 3.4 a carry today.

The bar has certainly been lowered from last season's ground game.

Last week the Cowboys running attack averaged 3.7 a carry and this week 3.4 and a few here are acting like the running game hasn't missed a beat from last season. Neither Randle or McFadden is the answer but some here still think they are.

he made the most out of his opportunities. Through 2 games the massive running lanes haven't been there, I thought the line did a better job as the game wore on opening up some holes

And Demarco Murray averaged about 3.1 yards per carry last year against the Eagles on 51 carries. The Eagles are very stout against the run. Our run game was miles better than theirs.

That still doesn't excuse the 3.7 rushing average we had last week.

He is not very good at being a RB. He is extremely average at everything and is easily replaceable.

He did ok. Run game still needs to get better, fast. I hope C-Mike can play next week.

Very true, but one key difference must be noted IMO: that Philly game (both, really) came last year when Murray was noticeably on the decline from being overused. Randle was essentially at his very freshest for today's game.

Maybe a minor point, maybe not.

My gripe with the group of runners we have is there's no short-yardage guy. That keeps us from giving a run look in 3rd & 2 or 3 situations. With Romo, we were going empty and it worked out. I'm not so sure that'll work now. We may have to activate CMike just to help that, but there's not space for a 4th RB on gameday. Heck, half the people on the board are cutting him to bring up our new QB.
