Tony Romo is expected to miss about eight weeks after fracturing his left clavicle in Sunday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Dallas Cowboys could place the quarterback on IR/designated-to-return.

Someone brought up the point that you have three long-term injuries and the Cowboys are down to 50 spots. It would make sense to put Romo on the designated to return.

Yeah, it seems invetable. Down to 50 and I just hope we can go a game without losing anyone else like this.

Jerry will make a killing selling Johnny Walker to fans who have to endure Weeden as their Quarterback for the next 3-4 home games.

If we can figure out how to run the ball again we can protect him from the things that have haunted him since his rookie year. He can be a bus driver....lets just hope that all we need.

What other injury? Dez, I know but I thought I heard Randy Gregory could be back as early as this week.

I say if the doctor says 6-8 weeks, we keep Romo on the roster. If we are able to get 1-2 games from him, it would be worth it especially considering he may be rusty that first game.

Yesterday was the best I have seen Weeden throw the ball, it was on time and accurate, the question is can he do it consistently? Lets hope so!

His problem has always been confidence to me. He can obviously make throws it's the confidence level that he has to get past to me. He's so unsure of himself when I see him play. Just don't be afraid to make mistakes. It's going to happen just make the throw. The moment he starts overthinking is when he gets in trouble.

I was referencing the initial article. Good to see additional confirmation.

Hold your breath thought - still don't have the CT scan result and a full diagnosis which will come later today. Lot of variables still at play with the injury both good and bad.

Let's hope for the best.

Gregory was an optimistic 2-4 weeks with a good chance to be 4-6. Dez is an optimistic 4-6 with a good chance to be 6-8. Romo is an optimistic 8 weeks.

Long term injuries with a short roster. Gotta give relief somewhere.

Rogers came back after 7 weeks.
I heard Aikman say he was out for only 5.

I don't know about Troy any more...maybe someone should ask him how long he was watching Martians after a game.

I think with Foles and Rodgers they both felt ready to play at 6 weeks but weren't ready from a healing standpoint. I know with Rodgers there was talk that he could play as early as Week 15 against Dallas (he ultimately didn't play until Week 17). There is probably going to be similar frustration here as Tony's high pain threshold could have him chomping at the bit, but you just can't let them out there until the scan shows healed.

Thanks for your continual efforts to set the story straight as well as provide timely info...WG.

It definitely is YOUR Birthday.

Troy missed 5...and there was a bye in there I think (which we also have). Not sure if Rodgers had one in his time off. There's a wide range it could end up being really.
