Who gets cut Week 5?

Going into week 3 it is time to start thinking about who is going to have to be cut in Week 5 to make room for the return of McClain and Hardy.

We have 4 running backs on the 53 man roster, but I don't see them cutting anyone.

I'm thinking Keith Smith and Ken Bishop.

With McClain on i.r., I don't see us cutting a dt. As of now our dt's are TCrawford, Hayden, Coleman and Bishop. With JCrawford filling in for both dt/de. I see us cutting KSmith and the 3rd qb who will never see the field, Kellen Moore.

Preferably, to add Hardy and Rolando McClain it would be great if we could trade someone instead of cutting a player. Perhaps Bishop would bring something for a trade like a 7th or something.

If not, then I'd much rather cut someone than replace someone who went to IR. We had enough injuries. I hope the team can stay healthy.

Who really believes Ro McClain is going to be ready to go the minute he arrives?

I'd bet Hardy shows up raring to go, while McClain needs a few weeks to get in shape.

I have been thinking the same thing. If that is the case, I hope that they release McClain in short order. That would just show he's not a team player. All that said...I hope I'm wrong.

Romo's on IR. You won't have four QBs for a while, and they like Moore and don't want to expose him to waivers.

Smith too valuable on special teams.

They only need to make one spot.

Why would they be scared to expose him to waivers? He was just on the practice squad a couple days ago. He was free to sign with anybody then

Kellen Moore and Keith Smith imo. Moore is on the active roster now, mainly because we need a #2 and since Cassell just got here, he may not have been ready, even though Moore hasn't been here much longer. I don't think this team carries 3 QBs for very long.

1. Heath.....Just about cost us last week w/ his special teams gaffs....punt should have been down inside the 20...got away w/ a spear to the punters head on the punt block.

2. Whitehead.....He's done nothing @ WR or Special teams......especially if your gonna have Beasley returning punts and Dunbar returning kickoffs.

Kellen Moore???

Why would you want to cut your starting QB? ;)

Neither is getting cut
Lucky will be the returner as the season goes on. Just like they did with Harris, they are playing him in the games to get him settled into the nfl
I would bet any money the first guy to get cut is Moore
We already know he will clear waivers

By then maybe Weeds and Cassell! ;)

Its still two weeks off. Right now the safe bet would be Kellen Moore for one spot. I think the other spot is going to depend a lot on the state of the team right around the time. A LB makes sense, and if Gregory is back a DLine can make some sense. The 4th RB makes sense to cut also. IF Dez is back the WR that the team views as the weakest on the roster also makes sense.

Doesn't matter how long it might take him to get in shape. The suspension ends, he takes up a spot on the 53.

Kellen Moore is the obvious choice, unless Cassel fails on further inspection. Moore was on the PS and he'll go back. He was only brought up becasue they can't get Cassel up to speed fast enough. With T McClain gone, Bishop's spot becomes more secure. K/ Smith looks pretty likely considering the LB spot being filled by Ro, but that will hurt a little on ST.

These things have a way of working themselves out. Likey, their will be and injury to make this decision much easier.

Lucky could probably clear waivers, Bishop has been inactive both games and has no ST value and loses depth even more with Hardy, so probably he would be one of them.

Does lucky even play? I never notice him in the games or on the sidelines

He played significant snaps in the Giants game. There is a thread that shows the snap count from the Eagles game. I don't remember seeing him much in that one.

one of the qb's im betting kellen moore will be one of the cuts and then will go back to practice squad.

He played in the Eagles game too, I believe.

When he has been in there, they been using him like they did Dwayne Harris and he was terrible at it.
