Twitter: Joseph Randle expected to miss some time

I was kind of hoping he'd be back and that we'd consider putting him back on ST units again. He's a good coverage player, and we can replace his production in the running game right now.

Be interesting to see more McFadden and Michael and see if the running game gets going. If it does, it might not be a coincidence.

I have not evaluated the return TD by the Giants, but having 3 RBs that don't play ST is a stain on putting together the ST units on game day.

That big RB they picked up was regarded as a terrific ST player in college. I guess he'll be active if Randle is out.

At least this forces the coaches to stick with what is working.........DMC as the lead back. I was concerned that if Randle was not going to miss time, he would get the lead role back(he shouldn't).

This will allow to see what CM really offers until Randle returns.

So begs the question re: special teams, if Randle is out for a bit and R. Smith plays special teams and DMC and C-Mike play well what happens to Randle when he is healthy?

His job's on the line, and he's missing reps. It's up to the other RBs to keep him on the bench. Though I'd imagine he'd come back in the 3rd RB/ST capacity, worse case scenario.

McChicken will be hurt within the next two games. Especially if he keeps getting 20-30 carries a game like that. Seattle will beat him up nicely. If they are smart, they will start giving at least half the carries to Michaels.

Considering that Randle got injured and they still only gave C-Mike 5 carries on a day when they ran the ball 36 times, I would say that the coaches are still not sold on C-Mike.

Could be that I was still hung over from Saturday night (actually, that was 100% the case), but I thought had heard that the coaches felt Michael was not solid enough on his playbook knowledge to take on a bigger load.

What has Michael done to warrant significantly more carries? He had one good carry yesterday and nothing the other five. I do agree Darren's carries should be limited a bit, but he should still be the work horse.

Next Tyron Smith, or Travis Frederick will be injured. The injuries are comical at this point. Talk about bad luck.

Randle averaged 12 yard/carry before getting injured.

I was happy to see McFadden doing well, but the big change was the blocking and the threat of the pass which was not there when Weed was the QB.
Basically.

Randle had a couple holes for the first time basically all year
