It wasn't overhype so much, as just the unknown, similar to the Gus Johnson hype in PS. We knew what we had/have wasn't that great so we wanted a new toy. And while we're on the subject, with the stretch holes the Oline were opening up the other night, my bet is Cmike or Randle would have had similar output.

Cmike still is unknown, just as we all thought Dmac was a bum just a week ago. Until you can actually feed the kid the rock we won't know, but 1 or 5 carries isn't enough for any back.

They has been a huge amount of hype about C-Mike. Local media people have said 9 of 10 questions they've been getting where from what Mike Fisher dubbed as the Cult of C-Mike.

Many many posts/threads here have bashed McFadden and Randle and hyped C-Mike as the solution to all problems.

Yes, it seems that Randle or C-Mike might have had some success with the improved blocking; although Randle averaged 12 yards/carry while C-Mike averaged 3.6 ypc with the improved blocking and C-Mike had 2.5x more carries than Randle.

Everyone is having big time RB rueage this year over Chris Johnson. He's crushing it. After all, he can walk on water...right?

Anyway Johnson is at 5.1 and Randle is at 4.1 on 76 carries for 315 yards. So if Randle had matched that 5.1 and was now sitting 76 carries for 388 yards would you be happy? Over 76 more yards or 15 yards per game not even counting last week?

I think it is about projecting forward and not looking back. We need a strong running game to take the pressure off of Romo and help keep our D off the field. Traditionally it becomes harder to run as the season progresses and throughout the playoffs.

Looking forward with Randle and McFadden didn't provide a high enough ceiling. Adding a third back that could knock everyone down a peg was key. CJohnson and CMichael were just 2 of many hopefuls.

But if you do want to look back, maybe those extra yards are enough to get one more win, which would be huge.

As you know I wished we would have signed Chris Johnson because I he would have been a good fit to take over for Murray. But that didn't happen. I'm not really rueing over that fact that we didn't leap to that opportunity. Its not worth crying over spilt milk.

But we could have done better than Randle. I'm actually glad that we got our groove back with MacFadden carrying the load. I hope that Cowboys learned their lesson and keep doing what works. I was never a fan of Randle but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Now that he hasn't showed up its time we take a different tact to someone who can.

You brought up the subject of me not giving McFadden credit and claimed I only give Randle credit which is blatantly false.

You brought up the subject of Parnell. The mastermind of the OL that Garrett ran off (Bill Callahan) preferred Parnell to Free. There were no scouts that disagreed with me. Parnell got significantly more money than Free and they decided to go the cheaper route like the did with Murray. Free's contract will be a 1 year, 6M deal if they cut him after this season which might have been their plan considering that they used a premium pick (3rd round) on an OT. It appears their choice was Free 1 year, 6M or Parnell 5 years, 32M. Garrett is the only person that like Free more than Parnell because they are close friends. Jerry let Garrett have his way on that after Jerry let his other buddy (Murray) go.

I've showed you specifically how you were wrong yet you try to "spin" it to keep from admitting that you were indeed wrong an then try to claim that's what I'm doing to deflect from your own spin.

Where did you give credit to DMC for Sunday?

Again you've proven My point with Parnell. You keep making this claim that Free was only kept because as you claim Free and JG are buddies. You have zero proof to support that and that is your sole argument as to why he was kept and not Parnell. Sorry you can try and sell those goods to someone else but I'm not buying. If they felt that highly of Parnell they would've kept him. Where is this hard proof that BC wanted to start Parnell over free but was over ridden because JG and Free are buddies?

I didn't spin anything. I said straight up you won't give any back not named Randle credit for Sunday because you keep using his 12 YPC off his 2 carries. You've given the oline credit talked about the blocking change and have mentioned Randle. You have mentioned DMC. I didn't say anything about DMC I stated C-Mike over Randle period.

Move over Leary -- Randle's moving in with you on the bench for awhile.

You didn't specify Sunday in your original reply to me.

Regardless of who did what in regards to RT, in retrospect I was right about who they should have kept. Almost everyone acknowledges that now.

Hasn't shown up? I just showed where he would have had a whopping 15 yards more per game if he averaged what CJ does per carry. How is that not showing up?

Well talk is cheap. Fact is that he isn't averaging 5.1 yards per. carry. If Randle would be averaging that no one would be complaining about his productivy including me.

Results matter and so far Randle has not shown the results that we have all been looking for. He had every chance this entire season to show results and has failed. Luckily it took an injury for him for us to realize that we had a running game all along so long you give it to someone else besides Randle.

I still remember him saying something about Murray leaving meat on the bone. Well what has he shown so far this season to warrant such praise?
