They don't want to miss out on his 12 carries for a 3.6 ypc and 2 dropped passes on 3 attempts.

Dude you run your mouth all the time. You have no idea what you are ever talking about. You criticize a guy who gets one play here, and one play there. Has he ever even gotten a full drive or two? Your stupid little picture of Murray running with good blocking is exactly why we are in this 2-5 mess because people like you believe that anyone can run behind this oline. Now I was never the biggest bring back Murray supporter but I was one who thought we should have drafted one of Gurley, Gordon or Coleman. I still believe that any one of those young backs would do a lot better than McFadden and his career 3.4 yard average.
Don't knock Cmike till he gets a fair opportunity. He might be immature but he is our best option at getting the running game going and the only way this team gets anywhere this year or any year is with a running game otherwise its back to 8-8 even with Romo and Dez and a good defense, been there done that!

CM was brought to Dallas with this kind of behavior being his M.O. It suprises me that there are still people in this forum that wonder why he doesnt get any playing time.

Add Yeldon to that list. For the remainder of the year he'll be getting press. Somewhat thanks to Parnell, however.

Funny cuz every coach I played for only yelled and screamed at those they expect more from and think have the talent to be worthy of being berated. No clue if this means they see something in him or it is who he is...a lazy frustrating talent.

Hope he gets it...if not...add RB to my list of early needs in the draft along with DT, WR, CB (if Mo leaves) and DE (Hardy and Mincey leave)....

As if you've ever had an informative post...

The Cowboys desparately want somebody to step up and be part of the RRBC and they just don't trust C-Mike. Sure, if he got enough carries he might look OK but NFL RBs have to be able to pass block and to know the playbook. He appears to have a problem with one or both of those issues.

I would love for C-Mike to step and be great and he definitely has good physical ability; however, many many college RBs with good physical ability have been bust in the NFL for reasons similar to what is holding C-Mike back.

C-Mike has yet to do anything significant in the NFL. Not with the Seahawks, not in the preseason and not with the Cowboys. He'll get few opportunities but he's going to have to do whatever the coaches require of him or they'll just move on to Rod Smith or Trey Williams.

In regards to Murray or the draft, that's really a moot point because they could have signed Chris Johnson in August and he has been one of the top RBs this season. If people are going to complain they need to move on from Murray and unproven draft picks and just focus on not signing Chris Johnson who is outperforming Murray and the draft picks this season.

Gurley was drafted 10th overall and the Cowboy have the 27th pick.

Gordon was picked 15th and was benched at one point for fumbling and ineffective play. He has a 3.7 average and 3 fumbles. I pointed out prior to the draft that his college fumble rate was terrible.

Coleman was drafted in the 3rd before the Cowboys pick. He has been back since injury for 4 games and his max number of carries in any of those games is 4. He might be good at some point but it appears unlikely that he would have helped the Cowboys up to this point this season.

The Cowboys have not been losing games because of the RBs. They have been losing because the backup QBs are terrible and because Dez has been out.

C-Mike is a moron.

You are so off base with this Cmike thing. But you're filling up the text box. Don't let me get in the way of that.

& for the record, I will continue to harp on everything the FO screwed up at the RB position until I'm ready to move on. Everything. This includes:

  1. Not resigning Demarco
  2. Not drafting a RB
  3. Not, at the very least, giving Chris Johnson some consideration
  4. Not giving Cmike a real opportunity to get into a rhythm

Every single one.. We waged our bets on a scatback by committee approach that was destined to fail the moment we said bye to Demarco. It was at that very moment, our FO showed just how incapable they are of ensuring the offensive strategy that got us to 12-4 and a playoff run remained in tact.

C-Mike adds nothing. If he proves me wrong, fine. But two teams, similar handling by both. Seems like the player has an issue of some kind.

Sounds more like a miscommunication between player and coach...

"Yeah, I'm just hollering at him to get to the drills," Linehan said. "Everything is great. He understands. We got a high standard here. We got to get moving."

A few minutes later, Linehan went over to Michael, put his arm around him and had a brief chat.

"I think he was seeing the trainer and that's probably why he wasn't running the drill and I didn't know that," Linehan said. "He communicated that with me, so I understand. Next time let's make sure we get there a little quicker. It's all right. It's OK for coach to push players and players respond, that's all right."

He may add nothing but he is our backup RB right now, behind a guy that is never healthy and has some of the skinniest legs I have ever seen on a TB.

That is the problem and it has been the problem all year. The RB cupboard is bare. You guys can hate CMike all you want. It won't help the team.

I hated Randle as the lead back and him being gone doesn't help the team or make me feel better. It only makes me sad because I could see it coming a mile away and I sell pizzas for a living.

Everyone thinks the CMichael fanclub is a personal thing, it isn't. We recognized how terrible the RBBC was and got excited when someone with CMichael's tools was added. We wanted to see him get a fair chance to see if he would be an asset. Not playing him has done nothing to answer those questions.

I would've rather played him and seen him fail. At least we wouldn't waste any more time on him and could move on the next warm body. We know McFadden has no future and now Randle is gone.

People tend to spend extra time motivating those that they see potential in... I know that doesn't fit the agenda but it's true.

Never said Michael doesn't have potential.

A lot of players have potential. Don't mean jack if you don't take things seriously and put the work in.

So far in his career Michael hasn't.

Cowboys off coord Scott Linehan yelling at RB Christine Michael to show some tempo & quit walking around. Now has pulled him aside for chat.

Sounds like we are about to cut another RB this week :lmao2:

Devonta Freeman did absolutely nothing last year and this year until they played us. He was given a chance and has ran with it. I think Michael has a similar skill set. Just give him a chance. A five game losing streak when our #1 RB flaked out would've been a great time to audition him. Worst case, he is as you all hope and we can move on.

I feel an entitlement aura when it comes to C-Mike without any valid justification for it. Yes, he flashes potential due to his physical ability, but most of these guys who exhibit such cocky attitude based on talent alone don't understand that it takes more than this to succeed in a league full of it.

The RBBC has yet to fail. The replacements for Romo and Dez are the primary reasons for failure.

You can harp all you want but you're going to sound like a raving lunatic if you continue harping after looking at the stats below.

The Cowboys are 6th in rushing yards per game.
AZ with Chris Johnson is 10th.
Philly is 15th.

Randle 4.1 average, 315 total yards (didn't play the last game and only 2 carries in the game before that)
Murray 3.5 average, 307 total
McFadden 4.0 average, 345 total
C-Mike 3.6 average, 43 total (He has 297 total yards in 3 year career which is less than Randle had in the first 6 games this season)

Tevin Coleman 180 total yards
Melvin Gordon 3.7 average, 3 fumbles
Abdullah 3.6 average, 4 fumbles

C-Mike is a moron.

It reminds me of when MartyB was here. He honestly thought as a rookie that he should be the starter over Witten.
