It reminds me of when MartyB was here. He honestly thought as a rookie that he should be the starter over Witten.
The RBBC has yet to fail. The replacements for Romo and Dez are the primary reasons for failure.
You can harp all you want but you're going to sound like a raving lunatic if you continue harping after looking at the stats below.
The Cowboys are 6th in rushing yards per game.
AZ with Chris Johnson is 10th.
Philly is 15th.
Randle 4.1 average, 315 total yards (didn't play the last game and only 2 carries in the game before that)
Murray 3.5 average, 307 total
McFadden 4.0 average, 345 total
C-Mike 3.6 average, 43 total (He has 297 total yards in 3 year career which is less than Randle had in the first 6 games this season)
Tevin Coleman 180 total yards
Melvin Gordon 3.7 average, 3 fumbles
Abdullah 3.6 average, 4 fumbles
C-Mike is a moron.
C-Mike is a moron..
C-Mike is a moron...
Of those RBS I wanted Jones more than Gurley who could have been had with some moving & shaking. But hey, why do that when we have the venerable Joseph Randle waiting in the wings?
You can keep your stats. They never tell the full story and the rest of the story here is that no one is afraid of our SBBC running game this year. A stark contrast to what we had going last year. Perhaps now with DMC and Cmike that SBBC title can change over to RBBC. We shall see.
You wanted Jones over Todd Gurley? Did I read that correctly?
Devonta Freeman did absolutely nothing last year and this year until they played us. He was given a chance and has ran with it. I think Michael has a similar skill set. Just give him a chance. A five game losing streak when our #1 RB flaked out would've been a great time to audition him. Worst case, he is as you all hope and we can move on.
Add Yeldon to that list. For the remainder of the year he'll be getting press. Somewhat thanks to Parnell, however.
sounds like another dud
1. They don't want to create another Randle situation. C-Mike appears to have the same primary issue as Randle (entitlement) both based on his actions here and the reports about him in Seattle. Just giving him the opportunity without it being earned will just create another Randle type guy that is can't be coached.

2. They're just not going to keep him in the game if they don't trust him in pass blocking and scheme knowledge. If he has some success rushing with significant carries before he has learned the scheme or is trust worthy in pass blocking, then he'll likely never learn those things.
I don't know if he is even out performing Rod Smith in practice and I wouldn't be surprised if Trey Williams catches on quickly.
We don't want to give him a shot because he might run away with the job but might never learn the little things...
As Chad Johnson used to say........Child Please.......

Scott Linehan furious with Christine Michael. Just yelled some expletives to get him motivated. Then came over and talked to him.

You just can't make this stuff up anymore. Sounds like they are setting up their fall guy already.
You don't "run away" with an NFL RB job if you don't know the scheme and can't pass block.
Of those RBs, I wanted none more than Gurley who could have been had with some moving & shaking. But hey, why do that when we have the venerable Joseph Randle waiting in the wings?

Sounds more like a miscommunication between player and coach...
"Yeah, I'm just hollering at him to get to the drills," Linehan said. "Everything is great. He understands. We got a high standard here. We got to get moving."
A few minutes later, Linehan went over to Michael, put his arm around him and had a brief chat.
"I think he was seeing the trainer and that's probably why he wasn't running the drill and I didn't know that," Linehan said. "He communicated that with me, so I understand. Next time let's make sure we get there a little quicker. It's all right. It's OK for coach to push players and players respond, that's all right."

Again.. Baseless assumptions. You're on a roll.
You push agenda laden stats but you fail to understand the statistic that pertains to time in the system. I would love nothing more than to see one of our new "trying to recover from not keeping Demarco" rbs come up big. Whether that's Michael, Jones, or Williams doesn't matter to me. But, statistically, Michael appears to be in best shape to be that #2 guy given his time in the system as compared to the other two.C-Mike better do something this week unless he wants to be bypassed by Rod Smith or Trey Williams.
Nope. That's standard protocol for NFL starting RBs.
I give you plenty of substance the stats and this is your best reply...
I've never been known for having really good responses that make you feel all warm & fuzzy inside.

Cowboys off coord Scott Linehan yelling at RB Christine Michael to show some tempo & quit walking around. Now has pulled him aside for chat.

Sounds like we are about to cut another RB this week
