Another..."C-Mike is great" thread.. (Yawn). Haven't seen it..
They're like the anti-Romo.
Romo had a sensible assessment of where he was compared to other QBs when he was a rookie and a few years after that. He thought he sucked and had a lot of work to do. So he worked hard, paid attention to the coaches, learned and understood, and practiced, practiced, practiced, etc., until one day he said to Bill Parcells 'you know coach, I'm seeing it now' and his play reflected it.
Of those RBs, I wanted none more than Gurley who could have been had with some moving & shaking. But hey, why do that when we have the venerable Joseph Randle waiting in the wings?
You can keep your stats. They never tell the full story and the rest of the story here is that no one is afraid of our SBBC running game this year. A stark contrast to what we had going last year. Perhaps now with DMC and Cmike that SBBC title can change over to RBBC. We shall see.
You wanted Jones over Todd Gurley? Did I read that correctly?
Read it again. You know what I meant.
1. They don't want to create another Randle situation. C-Mike appears to have the same primary issue as Randle (entitlement) both based on his actions here and the reports about him in Seattle. Just giving him the opportunity without it being earned will just create another Randle type guy that is can't be coached.
2. They're just not going to keep him in the game if they don't trust him in pass blocking and scheme knowledge. If he has some success rushing with significant carries before he has learned the scheme or is trust worthy in pass blocking, then he'll likely never learn those things.
I don't know if he is even out performing Rod Smith in practice and I wouldn't be surprised if Trey Williams catches on quickly.
Yep, he has 406 yards and a 4.0 average. That's more yards than the others in that list.
Obviously he just runs right and JP does all the work for him.
Are you kidding? A coach yells at a player so the player is a dud? When I played football 40ish years ago there were very few days at practice when a coach wasn't biting a chunk out of someone's butt.
I can agree with #1. Absolutely.. The rest just falls right into the category of baseless assumptions.
But, if he's not stealing underwear or doing anything to disrupt the team chemistry, give the guy a real chance.
We don't want to give him a shot because he might run away with the job but might never learn the little things...
As Chad Johnson used to say........Child Please.......
You don't "run away" with an NFL RB job if you don't know the scheme and can't pass block.
New soap opera in Dallas !!!!
Again.. Baseless assumptions. You're on a roll.
It would take all of the Cowboys draft picks (maybe more) to move up to #10 from #27. Have you ever looked at a draft trade chart?
You want to ignore stats because it does not fit your agenda.
The Cowboys have Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel playing QB and you're obsessing about the RBs when the Cowboys rank 6th in the league in rush yards per game.
C-Mike better do something this week unless he wants to be bypassed by Rod Smith or Trey Williams.
I'm trying to find an area in here that indicates lack of trust but I just can't find it. Hmmmmm.
Nope. That's standard protocol for NFL starting RBs.
I give you plenty of substance the stats and this is your best reply...
You push agenda laden stats but you fail to understand the statistic that pertains to time in the system. I would love nothing more than to see one of our new "trying to recover from not keeping Demarco" rbs come up big. Whether that's Michael, Jones, or Williams doesn't matter to me. But, statistically, Michael appears to be in best shape to be that #2 guy given his time in the system as compared to the other two.
If McFadden blows a tire, we are screwed. Cmike needs some carries.
I've never been known for having really good responses that make you feel all warm & fuzzy inside.
Are you secretly Joseph Randle?
The guy is a complete DOLT. Randle was dumb and CM might be dumber if that's possible. Unreal.
