Cowboys RB options

Allen or the kid from SC. For two reasons--due diligence and uncertainty over Randle.

But @xwalker's point is true, no one we drafted would have made a difference except Gurley - and there was no realistic way to move up to get him.

Show me how you know? I didnt know he was one of the untouchables.

The seahawks were trading Michael because they like Rawls.

It really is a shame that Rawls reneged on his agreement with the Cowboys. He would likely have won the starting spot in camp.

McFadden's fumbles are coming. I's only a matter of time. Bank on it.

I don't dispute that but mgt did not have the benefit of hindsight during the off-season, so I would have preferred either the Michael trade or a drafted rb for the sake of covering our bases. I also believe that Murray was too expensive and had to be let go.

My knowledge probably has something to do with him starting games and common sense.
A little historical knowledge where Beastmode threatens to retire every off-season and makes 9m could be dashed in there perhaps.

Yes they obviously want him, but how badly know one knows. They had Turbin, Fred Jackson, and Michael at one point. The point I'm trying to make is you don't know if they would have traded an UFA for a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th round pick.

Why? His fumble rate the past 5 years is 1 in 164 touches. His fumble rate the past 4 years is 1 in 172 touches. That is a great rate that continued to get better.

Murray's fumble rate in 2014 was 1 in 89 touches.

In before this gets moved to the Roster Zone or one of the other sub zones.

So our running game went from being the strength of our team to being "not the problem".

Championship!!!

Murray or Hardy?

Also ignoring the losses of Romo and Dez for the majority of the season probably impacts the offense a bit don't you think? Everything from the passing to the running game.

Or were you just trying to be snarky and ended up looking silly?

All those stats prove is that 1 fumble is coming. Thanks for helping me prove my point.

Teams don't trade away player that they want to keep unless another team drastically overpays to make the trade appealing. Teams top goal is to win, not to pile up draft picks. This is especially true for team that was just in the Super Bowl last season.

In other words, the only way the Cowboys could have traded for Rawls was to drastically overpay in draft pick compensation.

They dumped Michael and Turbin because the liked Rawls better.

The Cowboys didn't draft Rawls. Was his 30 carries in the preseason somehow so great that they suddenly thought they should trade a 2nd round pick for a guy that they didn't use a 7th on in the draft?

That's not really how it works with stats.

With that theory the Cowboys are guaranteed to win tonight because they've gone 5 games without a win.

No, it just means they are getting closer to their next win. Stats do work that way.

I still don't understand why he would want to go there over here. They have an entrenched starter. The Cowboys don't.

His contract shows just 15K guaranteed.

Maybe Joe Randle called and threaten to kill his family and eat them for dinner.

The main reason we are struggling on offense is our 3rd down conversion rate.

Last season we were 2nd in the NFL, this year we are 22nd.

Converting on 3rd down keeps the defense defeated. It extends drives and leads to scores.
Romo is the master on 3rd down and would change the plays at the line and always knew where the hot read was. We just don't have that with him out.

We'd be closer to 1st if we had somehow managed to keep Parnell...

Rue....

I don't get it either.....

I do have a possible theory. The Seahawks pay Lynch 10-12m per year. He is about to retire.
The Cowboys have made it known that they don't value the RB position enough to pay a real salary to a RB.

I can see why a young back would hesitate to come to Dallas.

Although on the other hand an undrafted player should be lucky to just make the team.

With that logic the Cowboys are more likely to win today than the Patriots. You should be all of your money on the Skins to beat the Patriots since the Pats must be due for a loss.
