I may be wrong, but I do not think the Cowboys have ever won the East with a record of 500 or below since their inception in 1960. In fact, it has only happened just a couple of times in NFL history that a team wins their division at 500 or worse.

I think we have 1 loss to play with.............9-7 is the absolute worst we can be and still have a shot.

And with NYG at 5-5, and Philly/Wash at 4-5, we are only 2 games out of first... this year is ripe for an 8-8 division win... NYG have the toughest schedule the rest of the way (Opponet Winning %)

Romo wore his FIGHT shirt to the game and that's what he will do upon his return. Beating Miami will get it started. Beating the Panthers on turkey day will get everyone that has jumped ship for the season back on board. He can do this. The other teams in the division will do their share of losing so don't give up.

To think otherwise is to be a fair weather fan. What's the point of mocking other fans on the topic of the math re: winning games? If somebody wants to believe their favorite team could potentially turn things around yet this season, why is that any skin of your back? The math says it's possible. The fans understand it's unlikely. If they want to hope for something unlikely, why not just let them?

A fan is like a family member. Just because my brother is unreliable and irresponsible and I point that out doesn't mean he's not my brother.
Just because our team stinks and gives us no hope they can win the division doesn't mean we're any less fans.
Like family members, we hope that the future brings better results than the present - whether it's with our siblings, parents or our team.

I'm usually that positive guy, but this is tough to rebound from.

I would agree that a draft pick doesn't guarantee anything. Especially with the front office. I don't even know where to start with this team, I'm sure they don't either....
