He is a bus driver and right now competence is at a premium. Start him.

I think we win that game if he starts. Cassel is godawful. People kept on telling me he wasn't that bad.

Like I read somewhere he'd be pretty good in a West Coast scheme but Moore isn't going to be able to play to Dez's strengths which are to go up and get the ball. Solid guy but still only had 13 points in 3 quarters. QB needs to be a playmaker especially if Romo is relied upon. That's how the offense is built. Can't go from a QB centric team to WCO depending on the week. I wish we could mix weeden and Moore one is all arm and one is all brain. Big limitations with both

Then Tweak the scheme to fit more than one Qb. Romo will be back, but will most likely miss more than several games next year again, the scheme has proven to be an obstacle to now 3 backup Qb's, a rookie Qb coming in will likely be "clevlanded" out of here because of the qb unfriendly scheme......Linehan ran a very Qb and potent scheme up in Detroit, bring the best of that, some wco, the good of Garretts, and some of the rubs, bunches, slot and motion that G.Bay and N.E. run .......Dez will thrive as does Fitz and the likes of Julio Jones........Doing nothing about the scheme is the worst thing they could neglect in the offseason.

Sham was saying he wasn't much taller than he was. And Sham is 5-9.

At this point I don't think it matters much.. Guys like Brees an Wilson and maybe Taylor have shown you can be successful being 6'0 5"11 and you can add Johnny to that list if he continues to improve

Not saying much, but kid was better than Weedon or Cassell. I think he should get a chance these last two games to earn at least 3rd string going into the off season.

I still don't understand why anyone cares how tall he is. He can play or he can't.

There is a reason there aren't many QBs under 6 foot. They can't see over the pocket.

Mike Vick got by on pure athleticism and Drew Brees has a big arm and uncanny accuracy.

FLUTIE FLAKES! If he can play he can play. If he is injury prone of cannot see the field consistently then it will be apparent in the outcome. I don't want to see Cassel ever again. I'd rather throw the UDFA to the wolves and run the ball 40 times.

I think it was with 3+ INTs

As we are now starting to see that Russell Wilson has as well.

It wasn't a bad showing. Certainly better than what we've had. Anyone who's declaring him good or bad after 25 passes is full of it. Lets see what he does the rest of the year.

If every player was judged on their first game, there would be no players in the NFL.

Aikman first game: 48% completion 0 TD's 2 ints.
Romo first game: 56% completion 2 TD's 3 ints.

Considering that he only played a few snaps all week, and going up against one of the best defenses in the league he did really well. He moved well in the pocket and went through his progressions rapidly. His release was very quick. He did struggle looking off the safety, which is common with new QB's and he lacked accuracy on his longer passes.
He likely does not posses all skills to be a starter in the league, but I think he showed enough to be considered a strong backup. The next two weeks will be his audition.

Different team and personal. I care about what he shows with ours.

You probably will in next two games. So to make a judgement either way now is premature and silly. We need to see Moore (pun intended)

There's good stuff to work with coming out of tonight's game. He's noodle armed but poised, quick thinking, pocket aware, etc. I think the best thing about him is he seemed to be operating at the same speed as the rest of the offense. With Weeden and Cassel, it seemed like the rest of the players were waiting for them to get up to speed and it was never happening.

I think he's a guy who'll never be the heir apparent, but nobody else will want him as a starter so he'll be a competent 2nd QB* for us for a decade, which is great.

(*except for the actual heir apparent, whenever we find him)
