To all Kellen Moore supporters/detractors

The best I can say about Moore, in this game he gave fans hope.

I thought he did well for his first action in a couple of years. He obviously can read a defense and can get to his 2nd and 3rd receivers. Also like that he is quick and decisive with the ball. Hoping they let him start next week.

I like the kid, but he didn't answer any questions other than that bringing Cassel in was one of the worst personnel decisions in recent Cowboy history.

But he might fill in the blanks for you in the next couple games - give the kid a chance to prove it to you - there's nowhere to hide we'll all know by the end of the year.

LOL Moore hasn't seen the field in a meaningful game in 4 seasons, came in under difficult conditions in his first regular season game, and outscored a Jets team with a tough defense.

He knew his picks were picks the second they left his hand.

He will get better. Much better.

Did you notice Beasely laughing and shaking his head after Moore threaded that one ball to him?

I think the rest of the team knows Moore can play. They sure seemed more energized when he came in.

His red zone INT was bad, but how much can you really expect from a QB taking his first REAL NFL snaps? Especially against a Jets defense that ranks 5th in the league.

Kellen Moore played well considering the circumstances. Romo, Weeden and Cassel have all played worse games this year than Moore did tonight. Give him the keys and see what he can do these last two weeks and we may have a viable back-up.

Like I read somewhere he'd be pretty good in a West Coast scheme but Moore isn't going to be able to play to Dez's strengths which are to go up and get the ball. Solid guy but still only had 13 points in 3 quarters. QB needs to be a playmaker especially if Romo is relied upon. That's how the offense is built. Can't go from a QB centric team to WCO depending on the week. I wish we could mix weeden and Moore one is all arm and one is all brain. Big limitations with both

He isn't Brandon Weeden strong but neither is Romo.

For anyone to really pass judgement on this kid now is just wrong....No one knows if he is the answer or not...all they are looking for is a backup QB.....but the beauty of it is....they got 2 games to see what he has.....then they, as well as all the online coaches and online hall of famers can chime in....with their 2cents

as poor as he played today, teams will quickly realize what he does good and what he can not do on film, so there's a chance his play drops a lot in the near future.

He clearly ran the offense better and could hit receivers in stride a little better than Cassel. It energized both the offense and myself as a fan. I'm rooting for him and want to see more. But no one should be ready to anoint him as anything just yet.

I was excited when he came in the game. Stayed excited the rest of the way, something that hasn't happened since the Falcons game. Kid has something I feel. I want to see what meaningful reps and game planning by the opponents does to elevate or detract from his growth. He was a winner at a major college football program is very football smart. He doesn't seem to be too fleet of foot and didn't see him slide up in the pocket either so he has room for growth. Staring down a receiver is verboten in this league. He took his first snaps and while it was not what we wanted he didn't do to bad in my opinion. Others can't be pleased even if he would of lit up the scoreboard. Want to see more of Moore,

What's your opinion of the kid now that he has some snaps under his belt? The same or has tonight's performance changed your mind for the better or worse.

I've been a supporter all season and tonight's performance has only reinforced what I've believed in all along.

I like him and I want to see more of him. I want him to get every snap this week and I want him to finish the season as the starter. He intrigues me.

I agree. Cassel is probably the worst QB to ever start for the Cowboys.

I liked how he moved in the pocket, his arm strength is decent, and he reads the defense pretty well getting to his third options a few times. His energy was great too, I think there's potential.

That will be the exact reason. He has a good mind it seems.

Weaknesses
Moore is just under six feet tall, which is the major knock on his game as it translates to the next level. He struggles when throwing on the run and working outside the pocket, and is a very slow mover with his feet. The biggest knock on Moore is his arm strength, as he doesn't show the ability to drive the ball down the field with velocity. With the timing and effectiveness he has worked with under Boise State's system, Moore often lobs the ball and puts touch on it, his deep outs will likely be intercepted early in the NFL if he can't learn to drive it harder.
