Gosselin: Jason Garrett, staff let Cowboys down when they were needed most

Romo was proven to be a horrible QB in December and January, so last year a lot of people wanted to cut him or trade him preseason so we could move up in the draft and pick Manziel... should we make that trade now?

Weeden was pretty good here. Had he played with a more disciplined team, improved defense, ol that got its bleep together, dmc as the starter, we would've won at least 3 games w Weeden.

lol, what???? You lost me. Romo has never been an issue with this team rather he has cover up a lot of Garrett's warts which are on full display now that Romo is out. Most anyone wanting to draft a replacement was in favor of it due to Romo's age and injury history.

LOL you must not have been hanging out too many message boards before the 2014 season, there were a lot of calls to cut him and draft someone like Manziel to take his place because Romo would never win a Super Bowl. Heck even a few weeks into the year last year I was hearing the same nonsense, and I still hear it from a lot of non-Cowboys fans. So yea... let's trade Romo for Manziel, I am sure the Browns would take us up on the offer.

He could also end up in Philly or Wash. Everyone in our division could use him.

I think the best case scenario will be for New Orleans to NOT let him out of his contract and for us to make a run at him in a couple of years when Payton plays out his contract. Garrett probably won't have the injury excuse to save his hide and it'll be less money for Jerry to eat at that point.

This board has had plenty of posters supporting Romo for years. Sure there have been those that parroted the BSPN narrative as if it were gospel, but plenty debunked that trash year after year. The BSPN parrots and the E-Lie lovers have vanished for the most part and those who recognized what Romo meant to this team are still going.

Romo being out has exposed Garrett even more. Garrett has been a horrible advisory - his coaching advice to QB's is horrific.
