Gosselin: Jason Garrett, staff let Cowboys down when they were needed most

Of course not. Hiring a coach is not an exact science. It is always a gamble. With Garrett we know we have bad hand, that has been proven. Time to fold and draw some more cards. Sooner or later you get a hand full of aces. I think some people are scared to change because yes it could get worse but it is obvious Garrett is not the answer. Of course I would gladly play the hand if Sean Payton fell into our lap.

Romo was proven to be a horrible QB in December and January, so last year a lot of people wanted to cut him or trade him preseason so we could move up in the draft and pick Manziel... should we make that trade now?

Wishful thinking. Weeden sucked and just becasuse Cassel sucked worse than any of us could have imagined doesnt change the fact thay Weeden still sucked and was a loser here.

Weeden was pretty good here. Had he played with a more disciplined team, improved defense, ol that got its bleep together, dmc as the starter, we would've won at least 3 games w Weeden.

Seriously??? Weedon was captian checkdown. He NEVER looked downfield instead almost immediately dumping it of to the checkdown receiver. I am not saying Cassel was better. They both sucked. It comes down to a bad scheme that takes a superstar to run. We did nothing to help either one of them.

lol, what???? You lost me. Romo has never been an issue with this team rather he has cover up a lot of Garrett's warts which are on full display now that Romo is out. Most anyone wanting to draft a replacement was in favor of it due to Romo's age and injury history.

They said Weeden played scared and that Cassel would take chances. After a couple of games Cassel started playing like Weeden. Should have just kept him in there if that was the case.

If he ends up in NY we are in bad trouble.

He could also end up in Philly or Wash. Everyone in our division could use him.

I think the best case scenario will be for New Orleans to NOT let him out of his contract and for us to make a run at him in a couple of years when Payton plays out his contract. Garrett probably won't have the injury excuse to save his hide and it'll be less money for Jerry to eat at that point.
