Without GHardy we need someone to split RDE with RGregory

Mincey of 2014 would be perfect but he was invisible last year.

I think moving around took a toll on GHardy. He just isn't big enough to take that many snaps at DT. He needs to be the RDE full time with DLaw at LDE. Russell, Irving and JCrawford can spell DLaw but someone needs to spell RGregory.

A guy like Bosa could let us move DLaw to RDE more and keep RGregory healthy for passing downs.
But I think we can get a DE with our 2nd like Nassib or Nkemdiche.
Stick with QB at 4.

I'm not a fan of anyone at 4 right now. That could change.

I think that Mario Williams would be a good free agent addition, but he just can't cost too much.

This is not the Mario Williams of three-four years ago.

This is the Mario Williams who quit on his team down the stretch so he could force his release.

To put it in perspective, he was paid roughly a million per tackle.

The old saying of "you can't have a steak on every plate," some here want to have 2 or 3 steaks on some plates and ramen noodles on far too many others. We have steak on some plates now, we need to add some chicken fried, and hamburger on others to make this thing go.

If being served ramen noodles, I prefer velveeta cheese, beans and franks, and hot sauce be added.

Let one be at cornerback and another at safety. I wouldn't be upset with QB and RB at a high backup level as well.

I think Dallas will bring in either Manziel or Giffin. People are going to cry about it but i think Dallas likes both players. If Eric Berry is available i can see him in Dallas. there will be a DE brought in. But i think itll be a mid to low tier guy.

Your issue is you are attributing monolithic thought to an organization with multiple executives. Garrett could be doing one thing and the Jones another and you will get the dissonance you are talking about. Marinelli built his defense around him by isolating him on the weakside without the 3T. The Jones have their own thing.

Very valid, everyone can have a different view.
But keeping him to the end of the year - multiple games past contention, then a barrage of leaks start coming out to say Dallas doesn't want him, it doesn't show a lot of acumen.

I still don't see how letting him start and play more snaps than anyone is not in the coach. I guess it's possible Jones put an ultimatum on it, but it doesnt seem likely. I get the need to not apply one rule for all players, but that seems to erode a bit when you are 4-9,4-10, etc.

Even Marion Barber got benched for a dress code once

Truth be known, that is my feelings on quarterback. But I would have a serious case of stomach revolt with the arrival of the 'dumb blond.'

What about pork chops?

Dip the boneless pork chops in flour, egg, and corn starch. Then slap in a cast iron skillet with olive oil about a minute per side. Then remove from stovetop, and place strips of parmesan cheese atop. Oven cook for about three minutes....MMMMMMMMMM

Your first instinct was correct.

It doesn't make any sense to keep playing him last year if they weren't bringing him back because of tardiness and general insubordination. They could have saved 2m against the cap last year and rolled it over to 2016 by sitting him the last 3 weeks. Plus they wouldn't risk him hitting his sack incentives.

There is no reason to burn the bridge now. If no one else offers him a FA contract the FO would have blown a great opportunity for a great bargain.

Dez just made a status on social media just now defending Hardy stating that the media is creating a problem and he has Hardy back 100%.

If Dez endorses Hardy then so do I

Yea, something doesn't seem right about this whole situation.

If Hardy was doing all of this, why did Garrett basically stick his head in the sand and ignore it, yet other players were released for dress code violations

Doubt cutting Hardy would be Garrett's call, just as signing him probably wasn't his call.

As Jimmy said - some guys you hold the bus for and sone you don't.

Hardy or Michael...seems pretty obvious.

To put in perspective he had no business playing in a 3-4 defense, and he should have been cut or traded at the beginning of the offseason when they brought Rex Ryan in.

We drafted a DE in the second round the past two years..... how many high draft picks do you need? Pick up another one or two mid level in FA....

Well you invested 3 1st rounders on the offensive line and being the defensive line is just as important as the offensive line.....I don't think they've invested ENOUGH.

I have a hard time seeing us NOT resigning him. We have rode out the storm that the media brought on. I think he's ours...for better or worse. The numbers may not show it...but I don't see us replacing his production unless it's w/ a high pick like Shaq Lawson RDE Clemson:rolleyes:

true, and if they were getting rid of him for sure he would already be cut or announced.
They are going to make him a offer, a cheaper one, and try to keep him.

yeah on the big players, maybe any player most coaches have to get a ok from gm or owner before doing it.
The minnesota coach that cut moss, was fired later for not getting approval 1st.

The simple truth for now, is that the team is evaluating it's own schemes and directions right now. They will decide upon a direction and evaluate how all of their present players fit. They will be doing an intense evaluation and then start to formulate a free agency as well as draft strategy that are interdependent on actions to be decided, shortly.
