Dez Bryant wants DeMarco Murray to 'come on home' to Dallas

DeMarco Murray didn't have the success in his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles that he had with the Dallas Cowboys.

After reports surfaced that an unhappy Murray may be ready to leave Philly, Dez Bryant tweeted that he should come back to Dallas.

A season after he was the NFL's leading rusher (1,845 yards) with the Dallas Cowboys, Murray only had 702 yards with the Eagles in 2015.

Would really love for this to happen, but the Eagles would just be all sorts of insane to eat that much cap to let someone go...keep in mind the new offense hasn't even been passed along to the players yet. Pederson might be smart enough to utilize his players.

They don't have to eat a lot if DAL takes on the contract.
The Eagles would save 4m against the cap this year with no further hits.

DAL would restructure the deal to cover the 9m guaranteed left and take a cap hit of 2.5m in 2016.
If they cut DMC and his 2.1m cap hit the cost would be minimal and they could still draft a RB at any point.

They have gone on a spree with LJohnson, Ertz, Celek and VCurry and still have to pay Bradford and FCox.

true but if they take that 13 million dollar hit this year than they would be off the books correct?

Yep and I believe they are about even if they designate him a post June 1st cut.

Demarco has too many miles on him. We unloaded him at the right time. We can't let a disappointing season where he was gone make more of his absence. Unless its AP, go young at RB.

Dang Dez you planning on paying them? You want Hardy, JF and Demarco? Good thing he got the big contract last season he can help pay for it. lol

That is exactly what I was thinking! It's funny how one player can't talk about another player's money, but they can apparently talk all day about spending the owners' cap room?

If Dez wants these guys back, I'm sure the team would be willing to accept him taking a pay cut to help get everyone signed under the cap!

But what would that deal look like doing forward, after 2016?

I love Dez but after this past season Dez needs to focus on himself not who we keep or bring in.
