Yeah, like Vernon Butler. Really struggled in comparison to a stacked DT group but the guy can play football.
Yes, classic case. On the flip side, Clark from UCLA probably got bumped by his workout, but I have never been a fan after watching him.

Yeah, I drafted Fred Smoot on creatine.

If it makes you feel better...I did the same thing last year w/ Jacoby Glenn. Thought that kid was gonna surprise...a young Redshirt soph that had solid numbers in college. @ least he caught on w/ the Bears @ the end of the season...and was contributing. I think he just might be their nickle CB next season. But really....I'm still shocked you took Miller. He was getting rocked @ the Sr Bowl.

In what everyone is calling a defensive draft, Jerry's confident he can find an offensive skill player but finding defenders will be dicey.

You can't make this stuff up.

Is he really wrong though?

If you read that article, the two biggest needs are pass rush and secondary help and there really isn't a dominant pass rusher(s) in this draft nor are there any dominant defensive backs. Shoot, I don't think you even like Ramsey and he's considered the best DB in this draft.

Floaty, you live in that skewed timeline that existed in those Back to the Future movies. Miller was one of the most impressive DBs on the field during Senior Bowl week.

He's wrong on the needs. DT is a much bigger need than CB and there are plenty of both anyway.

How many starting caliber RBs are in this class? I bet it's similar to the number of DEs who could start in the league.

Any opinions on Vernon Butler DT and if he improved or fell?

Probably fell if you judge workouts in a big way. He did not show out like some of the others. I don't think any less of him. He plays when the pads go on.

LOL. That would be vintage Cowboys.

Finally decide they will go QB, are fine with both Wentz or Goff, Cleveland takes one and then the Rams trade to 3 and take the other. Hahahaha.

And to top it off....we take another DB in Ramsey....If this happens...I think I quit watching football all together.

Would you like some clips to prove other wise?

He was named the top defender from the Senior Bowl practices, but I am sure you can dig up one play where he fell down or something.

Well the article did also say free agency. That it's easier to fix RB in the draft or free agency than it will be to fix the pass rush or secondary. And I don't think it's that far off. No dominant pass rusher in this draft, no real dominant pass rushers in free agency other than Vernon and possibly Hardy.

I just think you like to take the opposite opinion of whatever Jerry says. LOL.

Why would you fix RB in FA? More expensive, more mileage. That would be the backwards way to do it.

That's nice that's what you think.

I'd say the chances of the Cowboys finding an impact defender at a position of need in a universally acclaimed defensive draft is easier than finding the starting RB. You're talking multiple defensive needs. DE, DT, CB, S. Even LB is a need.

So you stay over there. I'll be over here thinking our GM is a complete moron yet again.

What does Jerry mean by fixing RB? Getting somebody to spell McFadden? Because then you have more options with the 3rd down backs in this class but who the heck thinks fixing that position means that? How many quality starting RBs are in this class? When we look back at this draft in 5 years how many will we find? I'd bet 4 at most.

what will happen above us will happen. like every other year.

falling in love with any prospect is pointless. fighting for that prospect's manlove in threads even worse.

we will have REALLY good choices at 4.
if someone we pick at 4 turns you away from football you never should have watched to begin with.

I think the best plan would be to take the kid out of Alabama....Drake. With the idea of getting your true starter in 2017. That class is absolutely loaded. I think you could get by w/...

Mcfadden, Dunbar, Drake and Turbin

I have little doubt that in Jones' mind, they just need a second back to pair with the studly and reliable McFadden and Dunbar. Easy fix.
