Wasn't Howard supposed to be a potential riser? That's not a good time at all.

I didn't expect Jackson to run that fast. Wow. I already liked him a lot, that was surprising. I have him over Hargreaves at this point.

It still sets you back. What kind of effect on our team would it have made if we had drafted Luke Kuechly or Dontari Poe or Fletcher Cox in 2012 instead of Claiborne?

Agree but we're still 1-11 with Romo out if we have any of those guys you mentioned.

I want a homerun. Not a double or triple. I want to swing for the fence with this pick.

I applaud what the Cowboys did with Claiborne.. It didn't work out but I still like the move.

Jackson may have shot himself into the top 25, one of the guys I was hoping would be there in the second.

I want a home run, too, but I think we can hit one even if it's not a QB. In fact, we might be able to hit one by not choosing to go after a QB, if we believe there isn't one worthy of the pick.
There are few players (if any) who do not have any flaws or risk involved in taking them. I want Dallas to really do its homework and take the player with the best chance of being a star.

The Claiborne pick IMO is a good example of the team not doing its homework on a player because it didn't expect to have a shot at him. Luckily, we're in a position where we should be thoroughly checking the top players in this draft.

Not sure what they are putting on TV because I'm at work but nfl.com seems to be putting different times than you guys are saying. They have Hargreaves at 4.43 unofficial

I think it will be Ramsey if the Chargers don't take him.

You got solid players like Janoris Jenkins wanting 14 mill a year. Corners are soooooooooo expensive.

Ramsey on a 5 year deal making 4 mill a year would be a very nice luxury.

With that said.. Here is a nightmare draft scenario for me...

1. Tunsil

2. Wentz

3. Ramsey

Then it becomes Bosa, Jack, Buckner, or Goff.

I would LOOOOVE a trade down.. Imagine trading down and still getting Bosa.. I would love that.

I still think San Diego is going to take Stanley if Tunsil is gone. Or try to trade down.

The difference is we weren't the only team that had him at the top of the draft board. Trying to single out the Cowboys as if they were the only team is laughable. You really think we dedicated that much resources into a draft pick and didn't spend the time doing any due diligence beforehand? It was a draft pick that didn't work out. Nothing more. It happens.

How do you know other teams had him as the top defensive player?

If he was such a great player why didn't the Rams want him?

The Cowboys NEVER met with Mo
They did not expect to have a shot at him so they didn't do their homework
The Rams, knowing that Jerry is a sucker, called with the offer and Jerry, the risk taker, made the deal and blindly made the pick

It was not "a pick that didn't work out"
It was a pick made by a horrible GM
