Why does it matter so much that he's not going to play this year?

Do you know how much we'll have to give up to move up if we're drafting in the 20s?

How sad would it be to watch Wentz or Goff go to the Browns or 49ers and play at a pro bowl level for years while we have no QB because we settled for the likes of Dak Prescott or Connor Cook

I agree that the cost would likely be prohibitive to moving up but disagree with the notion that any QB we draft is nothing more than a glorified clipboard holder.

This team must have a succession plan in place for life after Romo and the sooner, the better imo. I love Romo but he is nearing the end.

Agreed. We may never again be in this close striking distance to the #1 overall pick with a team that is arguably talented enough to contend.
