Great trade for the Browns, especially since the 8th pick is still very valuable. If Philly's quaterback selection busts, it'll set them back for quite some time.

it was no secret that the Eagles were trying to move up...obviously we didn't feel the need to get a franchise qb at this time. we could've moved up to #2 for far less than what the Eagles gave up.

Only if the Browns would've taken our offer over theirs, which I think would be pretty unlikely.

possible but i think they like most teams prefer more picks. Going by the trade charge i'm pretty sure it wouldn't have taken a 1st from next year to move up 2 spots

Eagles acquire 2 overall and a 4th round pick in 2017 from CLeV. Browns receive 8th overall pick, a 3rd (#77 overall), a 4th (#100 overall), a 1st round pick in 2017 and a 2nd round pick in 2018.

I was wanting QB but at least this keeps pushing position players down. I think Tunsil goes to SD and then we have pick of rest.

Seems like a lot to move up 6 spots for a QB who wasn't considered top tier a few months ago.

That's the thing. Why would the browns take our trade if we were offering far less than the eagles?

Yeah, I don't think Dallas at any point could compete with the Rams' and Eagles' offerings. Not that many picks, and that's what I think Titans and Browns wanted over Dallas' #4.

Chargers talking about trading No. 3 pick. Trading of top 3 picks in same draft has happened 3x in modern draft era. 1967 1975 1997
