If they do take him they must be OK with his knee.

I don't like that pick at all. I run fast and quick from any injury chatter that involves the words, "deterioration".

Not sure I would like it either. I would if he could play right now, but there no guarantees he could even do that

I thought it was tweeted that Jack, Spence and Smith are not in consideration at #34.

I don't have the medical details but if this is another guy that may not be on the roster in 5 years then i'll pass.

Without medical details, how do you come to that conclusion? I for one am glad that Cowboys are thinking "win now" and taking the best available.

This may or may not sound bad BUT 2nd rounders get a 4 year deal. IF I thought he could last that long and play at a high level then I would advise him to save as much of his money as possible , and draft the kid.

I don't imagine this is much more than a ploy to get him picked ahead of us, therefore pushing someone else down.
It would be incredible if they had a good report on his knee and picked him up though!

This is my biggest fear, that Jerry is blowing smoke about Jack so he can get some offers to trade down. Take the starter Jerry.

If a few guys keep sliding, I'd gladly take a trade back. You could easily get a guy like Howard at say 40 and pick up an extra 3rd or even Bell around 45 and get a few more picks.

People are so scared to move down and I never understand why.

Exactly why we shouldn't pass...this team is built to win now...

This guy can definitely play now...maybe not later

Screw it...take him...win a ring and start over again

Myles Jack - LB - Player
Dr. James Andrews told UCLA LB Myles Jack he will not need microfracture surgery.

Andrews first examined Jack's knee in December. Jack seemed uncertain about whether he'd need surgery when discussing it earlier this week, but Andrews doesn't see the injury as a long-term issue. Other teams may feel differently but Andrews is well-respected in sports medicine and his name carries weight. It would be a surprise if Jack isn't one of the first names announced on Day 2.

The time to trade down is in the 1st when small moves add premium picks. Now you try to fix holes with what you have and hope you can add a few contributors.

And now it gets a bit murky again. Andrews apparently examined Jack back in December. Jack said last week he was unsure he would need future surgery. Is Jack operating with new information that Andrews doesn't know about since the Schefter tweet is that Andrews last saw Jack 4 months ago?

If I can move from 34 to say 40 and get a 3rd rounder, that 3rd rounder is valuable in this draft. There are going to be some quality DL in this draft sitting there in the 3rd.

I am all for trading down if a good deal is there.
