***Day Three Draft Thread***

They are not trading next years picks for a fifth.

Doubtful Leary is getting traded, we shall see, players are at an all time low.

Leary's trade value will be during camp. Maybe some team will have a run of injuries on the OL. Starting caliber guards have value, especially at his salary.

Only after the draft is the value better, teams value their picks during the draft.

105 ratio interview with Dak. He is excited to be a Cowboy, grew up a huge Cowboys fan.

Here's the last ten years worth of 4th round picks for us. Outside of Doug Free, none of these guys have really panned out.

2015 - Damien Wilson
2014 - Anthony Hitchens
2013 - BW Webb
2012 - Kyle Wilbur, Matt Johnson
2011 - David Arkin
2010 - Akwasi Owusu-Ansah
2009 - Stephen McGee, Victor Butler, Brandon Williams
2008 - Tashard Choice
2007 - Isaiah Stanback, Doug Free
2006 - Skyler Green

that's drafting 101, that wins championships does that

Broaddus showing his age on the Gregory question. Weed aint crack/heroine brother; owners/GMs know that too;) They'll take ya, just don't get caught NOW.

So one sixth rounder is getting you back in the fifth?

That is not what I said. Just saying 1 of the 6th RD picks can be traded. It is possible it could be packaged with a player or a future pick. There are several options if they really wanted to move into the 5th when you factor in the roster and future picks.

Prescott is a much better QB prospect in the 4th round than Stephen McGee was.

Doesn't mean he'll amount to anything but he's a better QB prospect IMO.

Totally agree with you on this. I like the pick at the end of the 4th. Develop and see where you are at the end of this season.

Prescott had a string of 288 passes without a pick.

He was the MVP of the Senior Bowl.

He had success in a tough conference.

He had success despite a miserable offensive line in front of him.

He has some accuracy issues that if they can be ironed out can be a starter.

Ourlads had him as a possible 2nd rounder.

If anything this pick for Dak should at least help quiet the stupid media asking what the Cowboys plans are with addressing the QB position this season.

If Dallas didn't draft one, this would be brought up at nausium. Now, whether or not he can develop into anything remains to be seen. I'm fine with the pick. We needed something else besides Kellen Moore.

Romo for 16 and 17, Dak goes 3-13 in 18 we get our new franchise qb in 19, how fun
