No news is good news - Randy Gregory?

Broaddus was also insinuating he doesn't look very different. I don't pretend to be always right cause I'm not but I hated the Gregory pick. Demons or party problem, either or, you don't spend a second on a guy like that who is so bad he smokes before the combine knowing he'll be tested

Give the kid a break. Haley had demons too. Me thinks he'll be allright when it's all said and done.

I was hoping he'd be bigger than I see in those pictures. Given he's in a shirt lol and offseason workouts started April 18. I just don't know how much weight he can put on from now until June 14 for mandatory mini camp then in July for camp that will sustain for the season. I'm hoping he does shape up because his "potential" is off the charts and we need his skill set. Let's go #94!

Broaddus said he hadn't seen him.

I just hope Gregory can grow up and put this type of crap behind him. It is not worth it. He has cost himself money and he has let down teammates who were counting on him.

If money and not letting your team down doesn't motivate him he will soon be working at McDonald's. If someone can get that to sink in to him maybe he can turn himself around. The ball is in his court
Hopefully he does turn his life around and stop hurting his own self.

It's time to let go all expectations with him. He's been hurt, now suspended, and never even sniffed the QB last year. He's 90% of the way to bust status. I hope I'm wrong and he surprises me. I liked the pick at the time but he has all but blown it in less than a year. Just can't count on guys like him and I'm not sure at all he is even worth the effort.

You folks with the "hard-line stance".

Don't have a clue.

There are zillions of people with addictions that face the real prospect of going to jail/prison every day and don't stop.

You hear these hard line tough talkers all the time.
I've known people that were being tested weekly for drugs and a single positive test put them in jail and cost them their job and children ect....and they tested positive. People want to think its as easy as tough love.
Any problem that is fixable by a hard line stance isn't a real problem and would already be fixed.

Maybe one day the league would allow a medical exception for pot like they do for other medications.
I know some people who have a prescription for it.

You play for the dallas cowboys.. And you not only fail a drug test but you fail FOUR? Its just dumb. Dont understand it. Youre gettin paid millions to play a sport and you smoke it up...

I have no faith on gregory. And wont miss his 0 sacks

I use to be a "tough talker".

I was one of those "Just throw them in jail".

But that was a decade ago.

And that was before I spent a lot of time researching the topic. That was before I had a chance to hear someone that worked for DEA give a talk on the topic. That was before I watched shows like "Intervention".

Today I believe many just use the "tough talk" because they have no other answer and they do not want to feel powerless.

I know a little about addiction and I don't think marjuania is that addictive. What Broadus said, I've been thinking the same for s while. I wonder if he even really likes football. It just not important enough to him. My optimism has completed dissipated. Not to pass judgement; but he should stop taking Jerrys money and dissapointing the team/fans and move on.

I hope I'm wrong. He a great talent, but doesn't look good for this second round pick. Jerrys risk-reward looks like a busted one.

He makes good points too about it.

Nebraska has one of the best weight programs in the country and he is as skinny as a rail.

Also, he had to fail that test 4 times in order to be suspended.
So what were the good points? Both of those are absurd.

I think people are really discounting his mental problems. A very typical reaction to social anxiety disorder (which is what he has rather than bipolar) is to use drugs to feel better. Marijuana is very effective for some people in that manner.

Dude has a mental illness. He's not getting high to party. He is getting high to cope with his problems.

I honestly think the organization did not put the right kind of supports in place here. They likely treated this as a "dude likes to party" situation when it is a "dude needs mental health services" type of deal.

I have seen no proof of this other than hearing it from unnamed sources ...... I have a feeling if he was diagnosed with that, then the cowboys PR machine would be shouting it to the roofs ......

See? It is all going to work out.
